Verizon works great here if you have a LG phone. Samsung picks up nothing and Motorola is not any better. I get full service with my LG. That should solve most peoples problems. Oh, and the max number of bars you can get is 4 anyway... You must have an old phone if you get more then one. If its old, get a new one. Also, do *228 option 2 to update for any new towers or if they updated anything. Also, EV stands for 3G and 1X is voice. You cant use EV for voice.

The network guys, stop around 6th Ave and Havana as you head northbound. Verizon excuse, too far away from tower but for $250 I could get a booster box. For $250 I could switch to a better carrier. Their store on Mississippi and Albion has pretty bad reception and the staff are pretty useless. The "tech" said all was fine in this area. Hmm. NOT! Switching as our contract has ended. Tired of dropping calls and talking in to what sounds like a trash can.

Have called Verizon for 4 months straight since movning to this area, only 1 / 2 bar, drop calls constantly, or phone does not even ring, then an hour later you'll hear your voice mail. Opened numerous tickets just for them to say "Were sorry but we did not find nothing wrong" Really? And this is happening all up Montview Blvd.from Havanna to Colorado Blvd. Soon as you hit Denver, perfect signal strength, but there is nothing wrong right? Johnson and Wales Univeristy is on this road and they too have terrible signal strength. Students cannot use their cell's. Funny how your suppose to pay full price and only receive 25% of service? Or they tell me I need to buy this $250.00 signal booster?? I don't think so, Fix your towers or add more to improve signal VZ!

Sprint is improving quite a bit now that they have bought out over 100 Qwest tower locations to augment their own. I get great reception most places in the metro area, and rarely drop calls.

Dropped calls all the time at my house. Poor customer service with AT&T, they will not let me out of my contract despite an unbelievable amount of dropped calls. My girlfriend has Spring and has no issue, and she's paying 70 a month compared with my 110 for the same services.

I love the iphone, hate AT&T. Switched to Verizon when the Storm came out, lame phone. Went back to AT&T. Traveling on I-70 around Aurora, one call dropped 6 times! One bar at my workplace and have to stand still by the window, if I move, the call drops. Absolutely no coverage in the mountains. Insane! I am ready to switch back to Verizon, my husband has Verizon and he gets calls on the ski lifts, and my phone is dead anywhere after Genesee. Apple, get a clue! Switch your provider.

The Cricket reception in this area varies greatly. Approx 40 yards west of this intersection, the signal drops to 0- all calls and VERY few text messages will get through. The trailer park neighborhood northeast of this intersection usually maintains 2 bars (below average) constantly. There are various other spots around the east Aurora area where calls will drop completely.

Great reception / signal strength, 5 bars, until approx 2 blocks from home then I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 bars. Have tried several different brands of phones with each "upgraded" phone reception / signal strength just gets worse. Doesn't seem to matter what brand of phone. Ones with internal antenas are the worst!

We got a letter in the mail from Cingular / AT&T several months ago that indicated they were aggressively installing towers in the east Aurora area. Before, we had none-2 bars coverage at our house and now we get from 3-5, depending on where you stand. Someone at the Cingular store told me that the closer you get to Buckley Air Force Base, the worse the coverage (something about the many radar domes causing interference).

AT&T / Cingular service is very poor in east Aurora. I would not buy a phone from them until they can fix this problem.
