I had pretty good coverage with my Nokia 3285 and Motorola v60e. I replaced the Motorola phone with an LG VX-6100. now I can't keep a call going. I think I drop 80-90% of my calls throughout the metro area. I believe this to be a problem with the phone, not the carrier. I'm going to try another phone before I give up on Verizon, as I've been a customer for 8 years and have had great customer service and been happy with performance until now.

Reception is decent in my area. My phone usually rings if someone calls. Sometimes I will recieve notice of a missed call 1 / 2 way down the street that I never heard in real time while at my house; other wise, I am happy...

I have found out through T-Mobile that in the genral area of denver and the sub-burbs Samsung phones are have a tech / clitch when communicating with the T-Mobile cell towers. T-Mobile said this was not their problem it was a problem with Samsung direct and could, would, not help. The only solution was to pay for an up grade on phones ( Like Moterolla or Nokia ) or pay out my contract and move to a new provider.

Very weird in this area. Even in my house, I'll have full bars one minute, walk to the back of the house and have none by the time I get there.

Finally after years of fiddling with proprietary US technologies, we have the standard we should have had in the first place - GSM, the world standard!

When I first started with Verizon, reception was okay. Over the last year, the call quality and reception has degraded to the point where Verizon service is almost non-existent. This is true both at home (92nd and Wads) as well as work (92nd and Sheridan). Service is typically down to one or no bars of strength. When I have additional bars, I still manage to drop calls or have poor call quality. I have tried three different models of phone with no change in service quality. Other folks in my office have also commented on the problems with Verizon service in both Westminster and Arvada. All I get out of Verizon is "try *228."

Verizon sucks big time. My niece came to visit from St. Louis and she has AT&T and a low end Nokia and got great reception in my home. Something Verizon has never been able to provide. Also the LG 4500 phone is terrible, Verizon knows this as I have been told by Verizon employees, yet Verizon continues to sell them. I paid $149.00 for junk.

Absolutely no reception. ATT / Cingular users, Sprint users, even Cricket users can make calls. My phone won't even attempt it. Works very well (only drops calls in 4 spots), from Interlocken to NE Thornton (144th / Holly), where I live. Marginal reception downtown, or at DIA.

I was worried about service at my home since ATT said they were moving to GSM since friends with GSM could not get service at my home. I've been an ATT customer since 2000. With the expected change I tried a GSM phone that did not get a signal at all. I returned the phone and got the Siemens dual band phone. That phone was terrible. I returned that and got the t62u which worked, but they then denied me the the rebate because I didn't get that phone when I activated my GSM account. :( I should have taken that as a sign. I have had the phone for about a year now. About 5 months ago service when down the tube. About 50% of my GSM calls at my house get dropped and the digital / TDMA service got noticeably worse. I have complained a dozen times and they "report a service inquiry" of which you "do not have the option to get feedback" or know if they ever acknowlege the service problem. I've waited hours and hours on too many phone calls to count and had 3 t62u phones now because they keep blaming the phone for the LOUD screeches and dropped calls. I was talking to my father in Arizona and he says his service got much worse about 3 months ago in his area too! I've had it. I just got off the phone with them and they say my service is poor in my area and there is nothing they can do about it. They have no explanation of why it got worse several months ago.
