No problems with reception here. But, Verizon customer service sucks, so I'm changing ASAP.

Cellphone works great everywhere but a quarter mile from my home in any direction, so will have to switch carriers if I want to get rid of my land line.

Terrible reception. Had to drive up to Walgreens parking lot to take care of a service issue with my land line, which I didn't want to begin with but had to get because Verizon's service at my house was so bad. All other providers have to be better than Verizon in my area. Just another reason why I will be looking for another carrier once my contract is up. Bye bye Verizon.

I don't know why a lot of people are having trouble with Verizon, I've been just about everywhere in the Springs and Verizon reception is great! I have never lost reception. The only place I lose reception is at the Air Force Academy on the 2nd floor of my dormitory, which is under ground level in a reinforced concrete building by the mountains anyways.

We have 2 Verizon smart phones and 2 Verizon internet lines at a cost of $225 / month. The reception is always 0-1 bars at our home (calls are almost always dropped whether sending or receiving, internet often returns a message of "Servor cannot be found"), inside or outside, though the service people try to blame it on my house construction. The only solutions Verizon offered were to buy a $250 extender / repeater or to cancel service. The problem with canceling service is I can't return the Verizon-locked devices. Friends with different service providers have the same problem in our home. Why are companies allowed by the FCC to advertise one thing and provide such abysmal service?

I am moving to colorado springs. If I live in North part of the city, Would Verizon be a good choice? I am inclined towards Verizon which works great every where else.

SE of the Colorado Springs airport used to be very hit and miss with reception. Something was installed or fixed. Reception is great now! Got great reception on Bradley Rd. all the way through to Curtis past Shriever AFB. Also North on Marksheffel from Bradley. Used to be some big dead zones. Reception does drop to two bars heading toward the Peterson East Gate. Also, Powers South to Fountain would be hit and miss. now no reception problems at all.

I have used Verizon for years without problems throughout the U.S. However, when I moved to Colorado Springs that changed. On the south end of town I get okay reception. However, as you move north reception decreases down to 0 bars at my apartment in the Briargate area where my Droid Incredible is now a useless paperweight. Looking for a new provider.

Poor reception in house. Have to stand near one upstairs window or on back porch away from house.

Verizon has a terrible signal in this area. Can't even get 1 bar in my home on any of the 4 phones on our family plan. After talking to neighbors, everyone that had Verizon switched to Sprint or ATT. They got tired of walking the street to make a call!

Everyone who comes to my house with VZW gets either no reception or one bar; and its the whole neighborhood. Extremely frustrating! I'm going to tell Verizon to build a tower in my backyard if they have to.

Cetain areas by the Broadmoor have absolutely no coverage. My wife has AT&T and it is just as bad. I think I am going to try Sprint.

Schriever Air Force Base Has little to no coverage. trying to send a text, forget about it. It takes atleast 3 times to try and send one. and Calls hope they arnt important because you'll get a voicemail message 30mins. later (IF someone left a message).. But we cant cancell our contract free of charge because on their maps it shows there is coverage when there clearly is NONE!

If you haven't been watching the news here since April Verizon has had some major problems. There network was out from wyoming to Colorado Springs and it is out for DAYS! I am switching too AT&T where here it seems like there is no problems

New commissary and BX Peterson AFB No reception phone tries to find signal but just drains the battery.

We live in a new development near the intersection of Woodmen and Black Forest, and calls constantly drop at our own house. We've had to reduce our cell minutes and add a LAN line due to this problem.

reception is consistantly 1 or 2 bars, hard to hear people most of the time. even from atop the hill I am on.

Reception sucks. Most calls drop or just plain suck. Good job Verizon. I'm "in."

Almost impossible to make or receive calls anywhere in the neighborhood. One bar or no bars.

I did get reception but it would come and go. I could not hear a full conversation because the voice would drop and come back. Luckily I was able to stop my Verizon service and go back to Sprint. I do not have any issues with Sprint in this area.

I recently was provided a Verizon cell phone through my employer. I work out of my home in Briargate. Verizon reception throughout all of Briargate is aweful. I took my phone to the local Verizon service center and the technician told me that reception throughout all of Briargate was poor and told me that I could get a refund on the phone and get out of the service plan. I was a Nextel subscribe for years and the reception I got in my home was acceptable at best but great compared to Verizon.

The reception at this intersection is great... finally I can make calls inside my house... Verizon Wireless is truely the best.

Reception is absolutly horrible in this area. 1 out of 10 calls per day are decent but the other 9 out of 10 are constanly being dropped. It reminds me of that commerical with the guy is talking to his girl friend and looses the call

Good reception except on parts of Uintah and into Manitou. Dropped calls often enough to be annoying. Sporadic reception in my house. I'd be happy to switch when my contract ends.

Calls don't get dropped too often (much less often than when I had AT&T GSM) but quality is consistently very poor.

I've been putting up with Verizon and their promises to improve cell service for about 4 years now and I'd swear their service is deteriorating. If it weren't for the fact that every time I start researching other companies, I hear they have the same problems I would have dumped Verizon long ago. I even bought a bi-directional amplifier for my car and it helps a little but not enough to really make a difference. Oh well...

I previously lived in Philadelphia and had T Mobile phone service, I was very happy with it, unfortunately my husband and I decided to get a family plan and so I swtiched to Verizon. (He still apologizes for making me switch!) We bought our phones in Georgia and wanted to get a Samsung, but the sales rep in the store warned us that she had a "bad batch" that had quite a few that had been returned. She urged us to get the LG 6100--BIG MISTAKE. I had horrible reception in Philadelphia, ultimately they finally replaced the phone with the same phone, a cycle that I repeated regularly. Every time I made a call, it seemed like it would drop. I have spoken to so many Verizon reps that I feel like I know more than they do. Since moving to Colorado the service has been equally horrible. I brought it to a Verizon store, where they told me that I would have to switch to a local phone number (THEY WERE WRONG.) I corrected the lady I spoke with, and ultimately she came back and apologized, telling me that it shouldn't matter... she did however replace my phone again. Now that I have had the same phone 3 times, I am finally elligible to switch a different phone (OF EQUAL VALUE.) They told me I would have to go to a Verizon store to do the switch (which I'm dreading.) Hopefully a different phone with improve the problem, although I am very skeptical and am overall very unhappy with Verizon: the tech support is horrible, the customer service is horrible, and the phones and service are horrible. I'd avoid Verizon if I could...

Very poor reception. Have to go to the third floor of the house to get any kind of a reliable connection.

Usually have good reception, 4-5 bars. Only rarely do I have dropped calls. East near Pinon Valley reception drops to nothing in the valley with bluffs all around.

Verizon is nothing but trouble, most of the time I get a low signal everywhere. Going into my kids schools or walmarkt forget it, Verizon really should add more towers. Latly I am getting messages "That the NETWORK is bussy please try back later" Verizon Sucks.

Just north of Wasson Park there is woefully inadequate coverage. I can receive notifications but rarely can answer or dial a call. Such was the case with Sprint in this area, as well. Verizon coverage in Colorado Springs seems better, generally, but it is frustratingly poor in my neighborhood.

Have had lots of luck with Verizon as far as reception until I bought a new LG 6000. Now I can't get reception anywhere in town without the calls breaking up or being dropped. I have had the software updated and had the phone in for repairs. As of yet the reception is still very poor.

Since April 2005 when I started my contract w Verizon, have had pretty good reception. Use my Treo for all calls. Do have some call break-up requiring repeat of words for call within half mile.

Can't even call home from my childs school. Can't hear anyone. I'm always saying "Can you hear me now?", but no one answers.

I get poor to no reception. I've tried 2 different phone and brands, no help. Ocassionally, I'll get a good signal then it goes away. Very sporadic Inside buildings, forget it

IF I want to get even one bar of reception, I have to go outside, or lean halfway out my second story window. I was told by Verizon that service would be better with this phone than the LG VX3100 that I was using before. The service with that phone was bad, but I think the newer phone is worse. Calls are dropped constantly. I get lots of static when a call actually connects. The phone's Analog reception is useless, it literally takes forever to connect, if it does at all. When I'm outside, I can get the phone to connect with one Bar of reception for a few minutes, but then my call is lost. Inside however, I rarely if ever can get even one bar of digital reception, and only occasionally get a bar or two of analog signal. I'm less than 5 feet from a large window as I type this, and my phone as ZERO service. Why is it so difficult to get reception in Colorado?? I'm from New York, and I got reception EVERYWHERE.

I get very erratic reception all over Colorado Springs. Very strange. It's almost as if there are other signals of varying strength interfering with my phone's signal strength. I've traveled all over the country and Verizon has always had the best reception, but not in colorado springs. I see on the tower locator that there appear to be very few Verizon towers in the area. This could be the explanation. Seems like there are more Cingular towers-- maybe I'll give them a try.

My wife and I have the same phones and cannot get cell service at our home in Village Seven off of S. Carefree and Murray. My business depends on receiving calls as I am a mobile technician and I have to leave the area to get messages sometimes or have the customer call me on my landline. Very frustrating.

I'm north of Hodgen on Herring Rd and 2 miles line-of-sight to the Verizon Tower. I started service July 30th 2005 with a V265; 1-2 bars max... Verizon stated I should purchase a V710 and the signal will improve. !WRONG! I went thru Tier-1 troubleshooting and then one of their technicians came onsite and validated poor signal east of tower (tower is 1 mile east of 83). Tech spoke of upgrade in plan, but no date can / will be specified... .Cust Svc states it's due to it being propietary info (I'd say it's due to competition!). NOTE: Once poor signal conditions are confirmed by a technician being onsite, Verizon allows you to terminate the contract - at any time - (while at the same address) without early termination fees. Conclusion (in my opinion): Nextel works in this area: Poor plans and Cust Svc Sprint works in this area: Bizarre billing and Cust Svc Verizon: Good Plans, Poor Signal, Exemplary Customer Service!

Poor to no reception... always dropped calls at the intersection of Hwy. 94 and Space Village

Verizion has a hole between Dublin and Austin Bluffs on Rangewood, and west on Vickers almost to Flintridge. My Motorola E815 holds the control channel up, but voice does not get through (i.e. call isn't dropped, but neither party can hear the other talking) as I drive through the area. Thus far, my experience has been that the E815 has a very robust radio in it, your experience in this area may vary.

I've had terrible reception for two years in the Broadmoor area- when my contract expired, they convinced me that I just needed a phone upgrade- WRONG- with a new $200 Motorola, my reception went from bad to none at all- nary a signal. I quit the plan and switched to Sprint instead. For two years, Verizon has promised a new tower near the Broadmoor area- it never materialized.

Just traded up from a Kiocera 2325 which worked here 95% of the time perfectly to LG 6100 and went from getting reception everywhere except in front of house and the new phone doesn't get reception anywhere in the development. I can get service and have 3 antenna strips and dial a number and suddenly no service. When I have been able to make a call, nobody can hear me then the call fails. Going to exchange for a Motorola V265 tomorrow and if that doesn't work, just going to get some new batteries for the old phones and live with them until they either improve phones, improve service or we get transferred out of the Springs.

9 out of 10 times can not make or receive a call from house. Even outdoors I am lucky to get 2 bars. Verizon coverage maps at their store showed this area and the whole Black Forest covered. When I specifically asked what signal level the coverage siginified, I was told at least 3 bars. I get 1 bar 90% of the time and I am only 2 miles from I-70.

I have to stand in upstairs window to have a chance at keeping call from disconnect. Verizon says they have "future" plans for a new tower in north Colorado Springs... hope it's soon!

Actually this is west of the intersection. Reception goes from 4 bars to 0-1 as you go west on Vickers 0.1 to 0.2 miles - you are entering a valley, but it is wide open to the west.

Calls are dropped constanly from this location. The phone is unusable.
