Verizon
Until today I could count on one (1) steady bar for reception. Calls drop consistently no matter where in the house I am, even upstairs. As of today, no bars, no service. I'm awaiting VZW's response to my complaint. My prior carrier was T-Mobile and I didn't have any reception issues such as the one I'm going through now.

Verizon
My first Incredible stopped working and I got the updated replacement. I have no service in my house and have to drive around a few blocks to make a phone call. I have poor service everywhere. I was wondering if the Waldo Canyon Fire affected the towers.

Verizon
This site is horrible. Its inormation is out dated I liuve and travel in many of the areas people have rated and they are nuts. I have had all other carriers and they were a 5 out of ten at best. Doesnt work in an apartment? W3ell there is a thing called walls that deflect frequency. I have 850 voice and 700mhz dta that is best you can get people so pay attention to what is happening and reality of what is conceivable and what is not. By the way it doesn't work in my concrete bunker.

about two weeks ago Sprint went from full bar to no bar and roaming now I just get call dismissed. Frustrated as I work at this location and I do the majority of my work from my cell phone. does anyone know what happenmed to the service?

AT&T
In Springs Ranch area I see my signal go between 2 and 5 bars, but never enough to drop a call. Service is not as bad as people make it out to be. Unfortunately, they are a little behind getting 4G LTE to the Coloraado Springs area. Looking forward to the upgrade in data speeds.

T-Mobile
Worst experience with a cell phone ever. I get, literally, no bars anywhere in my apartment. I can't send text messages and most of the calls I try to make or receive drop. I recently moved from Denver and didn't have any problems there. I don't always get data either, even downtown which is ridiculous. I have tried calling Tmobile's incredibly inept customer service (when I'm able to make calls, which isn't very often) and they always tell me they have no idea what's going on. TMoblie says I should be able to make calls outside, or in my car, but that's a load of bull and it doesn't work anyway. Even if I could make calls on the patio, or in my car, I shouldn't have to. I don't pay what I am paying every month to have to go outside each time I need to make a phone call. I went to the store and they switched my phone for a brand new one, same problems. I am at my wits end. Buyer beware: TMOBILE SUCKS

AT&T
AT&T has been telling me I live in a "hole" and Colorado Springs has overall poor AT&T coverage. THen why are they saleing the product to locals? I can be in my apartment and the signal goes from nothing to all my bars to nothing... without moving! Currently I have 1 bar; if I hae to call 911 I'm screwed. If you lie in the area, you should avoid AT&T at all costs. They will also cancel your service if you use too many "off network" minutes, even after telling them I travel for a living. My family has alrady changed to Verizon, it's just a matter of time before I do.

Sprint
I know this industry, so I will not waste my time complaining about dead or weak spots in town. Sprint has always had better coverage than anyone but Verizon. Period. The issue is not having 4G yet. Colorado Springs has been left off of the 4G map for far too long now..And if we don't get it this year, Verizon here I come..

Sprint
For the last two months have have had signal strength at home of 0-Full, depending on the minute. Logged several calls with Customer support... worthless. Finally call Executive Customer support... almost worthless. Different excuse every day. I finally received $264 in credits, which I used to cancel my service (8 year customer). Moved to T-Mobile and love the price speed and service.

T-Mobile
Less dropped calls than my previous carrier, Verizon. 4G interenet is great throughout most of the springs.

Sprint
We've been having same problem as has been posted here. Sprint is up one minute and down the next in our area. I work downtown and have no problem there and no problem after I leave my neighborhood, but in my house the signal will be 3-4 bars one minute and then no service or Extended with 1 bar. This has been going on for a few weeks now.

Sprint
When we got our Sprint service in Oct 2011 it was fine, 4-5 bars in the house at all times. Then in February 2012 things changed radically. We started dropping cars routinely (6-8 per day) and at times we would have No Service on half to one bar of signal. I called Sprint and went through hours of annoying service updating on my phone and resetting everything on my iPhone. I finally convinced the techs that since I had four iPhones all on Sprint all doing the same thing, that it wasn't our phones. They escalated me to an engineer who said that they were servicing the cell in our neighborhood and that it should be back to normal within 36 hours. That was five weeks ago and nothing has changed. I have been calling Sprint service routinely to complain every few days and have become quite adept at getting them to admit it is their fault each time telling me that they show that the cell in our neighborhood is down or being serviced. I have asked to be credited and they are "investigating" whether they can offer us credit for not providing us any service. We had been with T-Mobile for over ten years and had wonderful cell service and wonderful customer service. If we ever had even the slightest outage that we didn't even complain about, T-Mobile would proactively issue a bill credit for the outage. Sprint is acting like they could care less.

Sprint
I've had Sprint for almost 4 (or 5) years. Only a couple of times have I had no signal where I've been. I've lived in Ohio, Illinois, and Colorado with Sprint. Where I live now, I go between 4 and 5 bars, depending on where I am in my apt. I get a better signal in Pueblo West on Sprint, than my parents do on Verizon. I'm able to make calls, and not "drop" them inside their house, compared to my parents, who have to go outside on their deck to make calls on their Droid 2's (Global). I even had a signal on Sprint in Illinois, compared to my grandparents on AT&T. Sure did love being able to make calls and "drop" them. Poor AT&T and Verizon. Charging more and more for less and less service.

My phone reception fluctuates from having 3-4 bars to no bars in a matter of seconds. Reception is horrible in and around the house. Hard to sent and recieve messages,Dropped calls, Sprint sucks!

Sprint
We bought a signal booster and get good signals as long as we stand right next to the signal booster. This is with three different phones. Without the signal booster, maybe 50%+ dropped calls. AT&T is zero signal without installing a microcell. With the microcell, I get good reception throughout the house, but if the internet goes out, there is zero signal again. When my parents visited, their Tmobiles got the best reception I have seen yet. They could make calls from just about anywhere in the house and they received data service just fine.

T-Mobile
My parents visited last summer. Their T-Mobile phones received better service than our Sprint phones. So far, this is the best reception we have seen in this area. We have a signal booster, so I don't know if that made a difference, but they can walk around the house and only drop about 50% of the calls. If they are near the signal booster, they get a good signal. I think my mom's Android was able to get data without a problem. Our Sprint is good as long as you're right next to the signal booster. AT&T iphone doesn't work at all without the microcell.

AT&T
Can't call out with the iPhone. Received phone from my company, apparently they do not have another carrier. They ordered me the microcell, which depends on my Internet service to get a signal. With the microcell, I get decent reception with both voice and data, but when my DSL goes out, I am back to nothing. Personal service is Sprint. We bought a cheap signal booster (~$100), and as long as we are standing right next to it, we can get a decent signal, no dropped calls. So far, the best I have seen in this area is my parents' T-Mobile phones. They can walk around the house and only drop about 50% of the calls. If they are near the signal booster, they get a good signal. I think my mom's Android was able to get data no problem.

Verizon
No problems with reception here. But, Verizon customer service sucks, so I'm changing ASAP.

Sprint
I just left tmo recently... .. their data is fairly faster then my Sprint 3g service I'm getting around springs cuz 4g is spotty... ..tmo is good signal but bad voice. AT&T is iffy too but spotty and expensive.. if I had to choose I'd get a high end 4g android from tmo and keep them..

Verizon
Cellphone works great everywhere but a quarter mile from my home in any direction, so will have to switch carriers if I want to get rid of my land line.

Verizon
Terrible reception. Had to drive up to Walgreens parking lot to take care of a service issue with my land line, which I didn't want to begin with but had to get because Verizon's service at my house was so bad. All other providers have to be better than Verizon in my area. Just another reason why I will be looking for another carrier once my contract is up. Bye bye Verizon.

AT&T
Att has terrible coverage in this area. Really surprises me since this is in the city. What's worse, they plain don't care.

Sprint
Worst service ever! I work from home and up until two months ago, I had no issues with Sprint. Now it seems nearly all my calls are being dropped. Needless to say I'm extremely frustrated with Sprint and will definitely cancel their service contract unless they take the initiative (after my repeated phone calls) and get this problem fixed.

I have reception in the basement bathroom where probably the exhaust pipe acts as some sort of antenna but that's about it. There are a few spots in the kitchen.

Sprint
Sprint pretty much sucks here in this location. Poor to no reception would not dare answer a call because I will loose the call, voice mails are not delivered to phone. Come on, it's 2011!

AT&T
poor reception at home in apartments even though coverage map says it should be good in this area. almost no reception at all at work, where again, coverage map says it should be best / good. dropped calls, calls don't come through, voicemail comes in an hour later. texting can't send if call is trying to come through, but the call doesn't show. Calls get diverted to voicemail if texting. VERY frustrating for business. Considering changing service providers- looks like Sprint and Verizon both have better coverage for the areas I live and work in, but don't know if their coverage maps might be as inaccurate as AT&T's

AT&T
No service at work or home. Reception went to bad to worse! Not sure what to do at this point. We have two I phones, no land Line. Had Sprint before and it was reasonable. Basically, the phones are useless now. Called customer service, no resolve yet! Phone cut out even with them.

Verizon
I don't know why a lot of people are having trouble with Verizon, I've been just about everywhere in the Springs and Verizon reception is great! I have never lost reception. The only place I lose reception is at the Air Force Academy on the 2nd floor of my dormitory, which is under ground level in a reinforced concrete building by the mountains anyways.

Kept getting "call failed" and dropped calls on both my wife's and mines Iphone 4's last couple months and couldn't even make calls last week from that location or around town. Have a year left and willing to pay the "early termination fee" Signed up with Verizon and two new Iphone 4's, hopefully the service will be better. Verizon has a trade in program depending on how old and what condition your Iphone 4 is in. (enough to pay for the early termination fee). Folks I've talked to have had no real problem with phone calls on their Verizon Iphone (just the rare occassion) Hey, I know the technology isnt perfect but really ATT network seems to have only gotten worse over time... plus Verizon is bringing 4G LTE service out much faster than ATT (already in alot of major cities) and its coming to Colorado Springs by beginning of next year. The next version of Iphone will probably have 4G LTE. I opted for the current Iphone 4 because I needed a phone now. I'll just wait for the time I can upgrade to a Iphone with 4G LTE (Android phones a little to buggy for my taste) at least I should be able to make a basic phone call with it! So if basic phone call capability is important to you don't let the whistle and bells cloud your decision on choosing a phone.

My call even got dropped while talking to AT&T Customer Service! I have to get a new phone now, but I absolutely Refuse to sign a new 2yr contract with At&T! They lie on their complete coverage ads! But it's looking like all cell service companies are like politicians..they all lie and it's a choice of the lesser of the evils.
