This had been an awful area for just about everyone I know. AT&T / Cingular had the best service, but that wasnt saying much. Last August my son jumped into our pool with his Lg 4015. I didnt want to change to the New Cingular plans because my old AT&T GSM plan was SO much better. I had read about a guy in Downtown Colorado Springs that had helped another gentleman out(I believe it was on this site). The guy told this user that most of the cell phones out now are junk and that he was the last one who tested for reception. He also said that this guy said many people "Blame the Highway; when it was the car all along." So I went to the Cingular store on Cheynne Mt and they told me they couldnt sell me an AT&T phone, but quietly reccomended one store that sold new and refurbished phones. Lo and behold; it was the same guy! so I went to him; Peak Cellular and Satellite, and WOW what an education! This guy said he used to be the biggest dealer in Colorado but now just opperates the one store by himself(Semi-retired?). He told me about the phones and why they didnt work well and what phones tested best for reception(he field tests them himself). Making a long story a little shorter, he listened to what I needed and suggested the Nokia 6200. It was a little expensive(as all phones without an activation or upgrade are) but well worth it. What a difference! No more having to go outside to talk on the deck. No more dropped calls at my house. Even alot of the areas I used to think were dead spots are not anymore. He said he had tweaked the internal antenna a bit (he does repairs also). I like the phone so much, I went back and bought 3 more(I'm on a 4-way family plan) for everyone else in my family. He has weird hours, but its worth the wait. He's also a little direct, but he calls it "blunt honesty". He also told me that I DID NOT have to switch to Cingular when my contract was up; just go month to month; no matter what the Cingular people say. I highly recommend him(I think his name was Dan or Dave) and will never buy from anyone else again.

Just north of Wasson Park there is woefully inadequate coverage. I can receive notifications but rarely can answer or dial a call. Such was the case with Sprint in this area, as well. Verizon coverage in Colorado Springs seems better, generally, but it is frustratingly poor in my neighborhood.

Have had lots of luck with Verizon as far as reception until I bought a new LG 6000. Now I can't get reception anywhere in town without the calls breaking up or being dropped. I have had the software updated and had the phone in for repairs. As of yet the reception is still very poor.

Since April 2005 when I started my contract w Verizon, have had pretty good reception. Use my Treo for all calls. Do have some call break-up requiring repeat of words for call within half mile.

I had Sprint until the beginning of December and it was spotty at best (constantly losing signal). I found out that T Mobile erected a tower right behind Explorer Elementary School, so I switched. So far I have had no reception problems.

I regularly commute between Woodland Park and Colorado Springs. Reception in Ute Pass is OK, but spotty (as expected), but once in the clear, reception is good. I've had no trouble around most areas in the Springs. Reception inside my building on the NW part of town is good. Reception from the Springs to Ft. Collins is generally good. I get very few dropped calls. When they do drop, I notice the signal simply drops out completely - then pops back. This may occur when changing from one cell to another??

Can't even call home from my childs school. Can't hear anyone. I'm always saying "Can you hear me now?", but no one answers.

I get poor to no reception. I've tried 2 different phone and brands, no help. Ocassionally, I'll get a good signal then it goes away. Very sporadic Inside buildings, forget it

I have had ATT / Cingular for 3 years now. I get 1 bar at my house so the two Siemens phones I have are useless here. I get spotty reception around town as well. The only place I get great reception is at the many ski areas in the State. I am going to switch as soon as I can find a carrier that works in my neighborhood.

IF I want to get even one bar of reception, I have to go outside, or lean halfway out my second story window. I was told by Verizon that service would be better with this phone than the LG VX3100 that I was using before. The service with that phone was bad, but I think the newer phone is worse. Calls are dropped constantly. I get lots of static when a call actually connects. The phone's Analog reception is useless, it literally takes forever to connect, if it does at all. When I'm outside, I can get the phone to connect with one Bar of reception for a few minutes, but then my call is lost. Inside however, I rarely if ever can get even one bar of digital reception, and only occasionally get a bar or two of analog signal. I'm less than 5 feet from a large window as I type this, and my phone as ZERO service. Why is it so difficult to get reception in Colorado?? I'm from New York, and I got reception EVERYWHERE.
