Alltel sucks. I moved here from FLorida and they told me that it would work out here fine and it SUCKS! I had to switch plans because I got no reception and all my calls were dropped. it was rediculous! I would NOT recommend having Alltel in this state! Sprint is awesome! I get calls everywhere!
I use a trac phone and get perfect reception in the basement even with no power bands showing. never drops a call. I just selected the the first one because you have to pick one that is listed but I use a Trac and not the "Altel" service.
I get great reception with Sprint. I'm dropping AT&T even though I'll have to pay an early termination fee (I've been with AT&T 6 weeks!) beacuse they are awful. EVERY call I made or received was dropped!
I may have, at times, 5 bars, then the signal just disappears to 1 or none! AT&T claims I have very good coverage in my area but even if I walk around the neighborhood it is difficult to use the phone. Come on AT&T- this is a large city! Why can't I make a phone call??
Love the iPhone, but reception has degraded in recent weeks. AT&T says my nearby tower is broken and they don't know why it isn't fixed yet. Apple says AT&T is too busy in Vancouver to fix Denver. Verizon has coverage but Storm evidently sucks. Maybe class action suit (breach of contract) would help, like another poster suggested. ~D
Everyone in the world I meet Im going to tell about ATTs poor service in the denver area and they in turn will tell others, Half the calls I make I get 1 bar plus static then disconected. ATT SUCKS, Im telling everyone. Customer service says its my fault... ... ... ...
I very happy with the iPhone but I VERY UNHAPPY with AT&T voice quality and signal coverage. I often cannot make a call in or around my home! Don't buy an iPhone if you need to use the phone.
Can ANYONE from AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile explain why they can't add additional Cell Towers in this area? All are rated terrible in 80210 - and looking at the Tower map it's easy to see why. There's NO TOWERS between University and Federal! I suspect the spotty coverage issue is the terrain - the local hills / valleys in the area - so PLEASE request them to add some additional Towers or at least Repeaters to fill in the 'valleys'! I did a recent test. No bars outside my home - and all I did was drive up Iowa away from Broadway, up this slightly upward sloping street, and I can see the bars start to climb, and as I finally get within a block and a half of Downing, its at 5 bars. 0 bars to 5 bars traveling 5 blocks up the street. How costly could a Repeater antenna be to fill in the coverage for the lower areas? - I'd volunteer the roof of my house for free!
