Have lived here over 15 years. AT&T reception has gotten worse over the years, not better. Most areas have no reception at all. I can sometimes get 1 bar when outside - no reception at all in my home.

My cell phone usually shows a decent signal (3-4 bars) and yet I still get multiple dropped calls almost everytime I talk (whether at home, driving, walking, shopping, etc.) on my cell phone. It's extremely frustrating and I am tired of all the DROPPED calls. I've been a faithful customer with AT&T since 2005 but don't feel they are doing enough to expand their tower coverage. It's time to switch carriers!

We've had our Motorola Razrs for about 8 years. They're outdated so we're updating to the iPhone 4S. Our service with ATT over these years has been consistently good except for the static we get on voice calls. We've had very few cases of not being able to dial out or receive calls from our home at Sheridan and 52nd. Occasionally, we might get a "network busy" indication, but the auto-dial always connects on the 2nd try. We are very confident that our phones will always be able to send and receive calls. In general, we've not noticed that the reception at 52nd and Sheridan is any different from elsewhere in the Denver Area. We're going to upgrade to the iPhone in which ATT is the only 4G carrier at the moment I think. Hope we don't make a mistake by not going with Sprint who consumer report's seems to think is godlike in Denver. But the reviews on this site would seem to indicate something else... strange times these are indeed. Maybe pigs will fly soon.

I've had AT&T for almost 5 years now. I rarely get dropped calls. However, their phone selection is limited. If you aren't in the market for an iPhone or Blackberry other providers have better phones. Customer Service is also an issue with AT&T because they are always changing their rate plans and feature options and increasing the price with no lower price alternatives. So if all you are looking for is good reception, I do recommend AT&T.

I like my iphone but not happy with AT&T, use to have Sprint and had no problem. I switched to an iphone and AT&T, had decent signal at my house now its horrible. There are so many dead spots in the Denver Highlands and along Hwy. 36. I know when I am about to hit one and tell people. I have AT&T, I'm going to lose you, I'll call you back. Come one and fix it.

In my area (near downtown), AT&T's service is like the wind: it comes and goes. Once in a while, I have a nice uninterrupted phone conversation, but the majority of my calls are dropped within a minute or two. It's totally unacceptable for a service that costs 95 bucks a month. If AT&T had a face, I would punch it.

The ATT phone will not work at my house either(but will work at their store 1 mile away). Who has the tower this week? I will buy service if the cell companies would just let you know whos will work. I can't afford to sign up for every company untill I find one that works. There should be laws aginst this kind of rip off.

Our family moved to within 5 blocks of Invesco Field a little over a year ago. Anytime there is any event at the field we have no reception from our home for approximately 7 hours, 2 hours before the game, the game, and up to 2 hours after the game. No texting; no talking. Our service the rest of the time is marginal at best. I have spoken with AT&T's customers service personnel and tech support. I was informed that coverage for my area was moderate and that the towers were probably getting jammed up during events. I mentioned that 4 of my brothers have Verizon and they don't have service problems at my house during games or at any other time. The tech guy saw no solution to our problem and so I asked him if he was suggesting that I switch to Verizon so my phone will work at home. At first he didn't reply. Later he told me that he would never suggest leaving AT&T for another service. Someone told me that there is a law about cell phones and their providers. It is supposed to be something to the affect of if you can't use your cell phone at home then you can get out of your contract. I'm going to check into it.

Exposition / S Ogden, Denver, CO 80209 Sun Aug 29, 2010

I (try to) use my AT&T phone for business. Calls take anywhere from 20 seconds to over a minute to connect during the day. I have come to dread 5PM conference calls. The bars on my phone will go from 2 to "searching". Last week it took five minutes to lock onto a signal and then the call dropped after five minutes. Several times this past week I've had to use my personal cell phone (Sprint) just to be able to make a meeting. I've only seen three bars about twice on my phone. On average there are two bars. When I looked at the AT&T coverage map, I see I am a half a block too far north of the "best" coverage. I don't find their "second-best" coverage at all adequate. I was so frustrated on Thursday that I called Customer Service to complain (silly me, just added to the frustration). Are there mountains or large trees near my location? Uh, I live in Denver, so yes... . How is my service away from this location? It doesn't matter since I need my phone to work at my current location... .. The rep offered to turn me over to trouble-shooting but after five minutes of a less than helpful conversation I had to get on another conference call, so I declined. I've had service for 7 months and will be dropping them to move to another carrier. It's worth it to me to pay the early termination fee just to not have to deal with them anymore. My Sprint phone seems to work whenever I need it to so I'll be adding another line with them.

As many before me have stated, AT&T coverage in downtown Denver is a joke. Probably 50-75% of my calls have issues (dropped, poor quality, fail). I have had the service for not quite 2 years, live downtown and have had nothing but problems. Trading in for a new phone, new SIM card, changing battery or "resetting network" has not helped. Customer service has gotten a little better about dealing with it, but the problem still remains. A "genius" at Apple told me downtown Denver has one of the worst coverage problems for AT&T in America. His words, not mine. This is not what I signed up for when I bought my phone.

I've been an AT&T customer for 13 years and have always thought so highly of their service. But this has all changed in the last two weeks. According to AT&T tech support, they made changes to network files about 2 weeks ago. As a result, my calls now partially drop - I can hear the other end, they can't hear me. This only happens in Washington Park at or near my home, not when I use my phone in other parts of town. Here's the rub: I can't get AT&T to tell me if I will get service back. After numerous attempts to resolve this, here are my findings. Their customer service is awful, their tech support doesn't follow up on commitments, their network is getting worse, and even their web site email link is broken. What has happened to ATT?

If I'm driving, it is almost guaranteed that I will drop a call. If I'm home, it is pretty safe but quality of the call can lag from time to time. AT&T customer service recommended I turn off 3G, which helps a little, but that isn't convenient. They blame it on the Iphone and the only other options were to buy a new phone or pay the early termination fee. Pretty disappointing that their service is so horrible in Denver, and they try and blame it on the phone rather than fix the problem.

Although they are quite pleasant about the whole thing and assure me the problems with dropped calls, "call not allowed", poor reception have all been corrected, they have not. My reception has steadily degraded over time. When we first got the iPhone, reception was fine - not perfect at home - but solid and useable. I had very few dropped calls at home, but now service is absolutely horrible! I upgraded the software to 3.0 (3GS software version) but kept older iPhone. At first, there wasn't any change, then slowly but surely over time service has degraded where I can't get calls at home. Downtown, 3G service is a joke. In a major metropolitan area, the fact that I can't get perfect service most of the time is pathetic. I am really frustrated with AT&T. I have a hard time believing this is an Apple problem because I have used Apple products for years and have consistently had good to excellent experiences. I know that Apple is not perfect, but the track record is good and AT&T has a history of being obnoxious to customers. I really hope this gets fixed because I really like the iPhone.

Poor reception at home - I have to go upstairs, or near a window {sometimes works}, or outside. I'm on AT&T, but my friends with Sprint or Verizon also get poor reception in my house. Looking to the Towers map, it's not surprising many around the Wash Park area complain of poor cell reception. All the towers appear to be east of University or west of Santa Fe. and north of Ellsworth or south of Hampden. I can't image why no one has any towers along Broadway - the central main N-S street in Denver, or in this heavily populated neighborhood. Please invest in a new, additional tower in this area! It's very annoying, when I can get 5 bars up on mountaintops 40 miles outside of of town...

Since I purchased the Iphone 3g in July '08 I have had issues with consistent 3g coverage, but the edge network would work most of the time. For the past week, however, I have been dealing with a phone that consistently drops calls all over the Denver metro area. AT&T tech support says every day that there are towers with "degraded service" and quote a time later that evening for a repair. Nothing as of yet has been restored to normal service. I just obtained a service credit but am unable to use my phone until I get out of the Denver downtown area. For instance, driving out to DIA, I cannot make a call that doesn't drop until I get to I70 and Colorado Blvd. Before that point, whether downtown near 16th st. mall or near Cheesman park, every call disconnects within 30 seconds. I find it disappointing that there is a disconnect between the technicians working on issues and the tech support line. If I were given an idea of what was going on, perhaps I could have more patience.

My neighbor has Verizon, likes the coverage, but says there is a 12-18 hour delay in receiving voicemail...

Tower at 120th and Colorado. Tower at Washington St. and 112 (approx.) AT&T Cingular store at 120th and Washington Ctr Pkwy. there is no service in the parking lot outside the store but once you enter store you will have full service. When driving from Washington St. and 112th service drops off from full service to almost no bars. For company that states the fewest drop calls. Don't attempt to get cell service on AT&T network in the Target store. You'll get dropped.

Great reception in my area with a prepaid phone I bought from Cingular; all around the house, and even in the basement, I have cristal clear sound with no droped calls, echo or static. It worked great around the north Federal area too, and perfectly when I went snowboarding up in Loveland. Have a family plan from Verizon... not good around the house; I have to use it near a window and can't move while talking or the line starts braking... and forget about talking in the basment[At least in Thornton]. Definetly switching to Cingular after 2 year contract.

No reception in spite of many Cingular promises and a map that shows coverage. Finally a Cingular tech admitted my coverage was "weak". It is so weak that I can't use the phone in my house or on my block. Have to go at least 2 blocks to make a call.

Most of the time it works around here and Denver but sometimes I just lose signal for a few seconds or get a dropped call. Alot of that (I think) comes with the phone you have, I had Nokia's before and didn't really have any problems, then I decided to try Motorola - I'm not saying Motorola is the problem, but the SLVR is for sure. Sometimes it will just turn off for no reason and this is my 2nd one within last 3 months.

It's a miracle I can get any calls anywhere on campus. Inside or outside. I constantly loose calls and have torun around outside to find a signal. When I call my own phone more then 50% of the time it says that I dailed the number wrong instead of ringing or going to my voicemail. It is aweful. They absolutely need another tower around the area.

Motorola V180

Maybe it's our cheap Motorola v180's. My partner and I have experienced horrible service with Cingular in Denver and Salt Lake City since "upgrading" to the v180's last December. We started experiencing poor service in Utah last year when Cingular acquired AT&T. At that time, a Cingular salesman talked us into ditching our perfectly good TDMA phones for the new v180 CDMA sets that supposedly would solve all our problems. Since then, ever-worsening service has frequently had us on the verge of walking into the closest Cingular outlet and smashing our phones to smitherines on the floor in a show of abject frustration and rage. Dropped calls. Failed calls. Calls that are "received" but never ring before going to voice mail. Unintelligible garble and static. Incoming and outgoing calls that are answered but one party can't hear the other. This sadly has become the norm. It's time to smash phones or get off the pot.

I drop calls constantly in my home. My family is starting to think I just don't like talking to them. Going outside sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't. For fun I can watch the little bars do a dance as I walk around my living room, or even stand perfectly still. I will either need to get a land line or look for a better provider soon.

Was with ATT originally, and service was satifactory. When Cingular took over, service has degraded quite noticably. Dropped calls have increased at least ten fold. Very poor recepction on I-25 north of Erie and at 120th and at Thornton Pkwy. You would think that they could at least get the interstaes covered. Also, was on the east coast between D.C. and New York recently, dropped calls all the way up I-95. Cingular service is terrible. Period.

I live in Lowry and have the worst reception. Orig with AT&T GSM it was marginal at best and then when about two months ago it seems the Cingular switch happened. It went to worst case. Phone will not work consistently in and around house and will drop the call if you talk longer than 30 seconds if you can even understand the conversation. I will have to get VoIP if I plan to actually do any work from my home office. Also confirmed is that if you drive east on Alameda, once you past Quebec you will lose service, thats something you can guarantee will happen.

Reception pretty much sucks out near the airport. I've noticed that sometimes I'll be on the phone and I can no longer hear the caller but the phone keeps ticking the time away when it should have just automatically dropped. If I try to hit end call it keeps going. Nice way to rack up the minutes. My el cheapo cricket had better service. I don't think I ever had to deal with dropped calls.

I have had the phone now two weeks and have noticed a remarkable change in clear phone calls and bars for reception. At the moment I think out of all the major cell providers and I have had all but T-mobile, formerly (Voicestream)... that Cingular provides the best reception due to AT&T towers. However their customer service is Lacking in major ways.

Just got Cingular with Motorola V551. One bar in upstairs of house. No bars in basement. One to three bars outside of house; number of bars varies while I stand still. A lot of dropped calls at house, 120th and I-25, 38th and Federal. Cingular customer service is poor. I had old Nokia with Verizon and could get reception in basement and very few dropped calls. Some dropped calls at Mississipi and Kipling. In June 2004 I tried new LG VX4500 with Verizon. Lots of dropped calls and exceptionally poor reception. I took it back after 1 week and went to my old Nokia. Might do that again.
