Terrible dead zone in this area for my iPhone 3G. I have a six square foot area in my apartment where I can get 1 bar with calls dropped after approximately ten minutes, and otherwise it's a no-go.

I get horrible cell reception from T-Mobile in this neighborhood. I can barely make calls from my house, and when I am driving my phone constantly drops calls. Every time I call T-Mobile to tell them about it, they act shocked and don't help.

Took a chance since the latest comments were from last year. Getting good reception (4 or 5 out or 6 bars) in Platt Park on my HTC evo. Maybe the new 4G is making the difference?

My 3 consumer cellular phones quit getting service this week (after 5 years with no problems) so I bought a prepaid phone from ATT. The ATT phone will not work at my house either(but will work at their store 1 mile away). Who has the tower this week? I will buy service if the cell companies would just let you know whos will work. I can't afford to sign up for every company untill I find one that works. There should be laws aginst this kind of rip off.

T-Mobile has a tower 1 block from our house. But we seldom have coverage at our house. After months of calling customer service, T-Mobile admitted that the tower does not have the necessary bandwidth to service the area. We have coverage less that 10% of the time. And when we do have coverage, our calls are usually dropped. T-Mobile sent us new Google phones that will use wi-fi, but we still have the same problems. They can't provide us with service and they won't let us out of our contract so we can get a provider that can service us. Our only options is to pay for service that we can't get or pay 1,000s of $ for a lawyer and file suit.

Near Invesco Field, Denver, CO 80204 |
Sun Dec 05, 2010 |
Our family moved to within 5 blocks of Invesco Field a little over a year ago. Anytime there is any event at the field we have no reception from our home for approximately 7 hours, 2 hours before the game, the game, and up to 2 hours after the game. No texting; no talking. Our service the rest of the time is marginal at best. I have spoken with AT&T's customers service personnel and tech support. I was informed that coverage for my area was moderate and that the towers were probably getting jammed up during events. I mentioned that 4 of my brothers have Verizon and they don't have service problems at my house during games or at any other time. The tech guy saw no solution to our problem and so I asked him if he was suggesting that I switch to Verizon so my phone will work at home. At first he didn't reply. Later he told me that he would never suggest leaving AT&T for another service. Someone told me that there is a law about cell phones and their providers. It is supposed to be something to the affect of if you can't use your cell phone at home then you can get out of your contract. I'm going to check into it.

I've been with Verizon for several years, several of which were as an over-the-road truck driver who drove in all 48 continguous states. One of the worst reception areas (populated) in the country is at my own home.

We switched to Verizon because all our kids love the service(They live in rural mountain areas). I have to drive a mile east from my home to receive three bars. Should have stuck with T-Mobile... maybe.

You can get almost all your bars when outside on the street or in your home. But once you go below the ground into the basement you are DOOMED of getting reception. Seriously. If you spend alot of time below ground level then do NOT get T-Mobile. I'm highly considering moving to Sprint.

Have had Verizon for years and have always loved the service. Since moving to my current location 2.5 years ago, my reception has been terrible. According to Verizon, this is a known dead zone and that there is nothing they can do. Was then told that there are too many cell towers in the area. Don't really know what to think.

I (try to) use my AT&T phone for business. Calls take anywhere from 20 seconds to over a minute to connect during the day. I have come to dread 5PM conference calls. The bars on my phone will go from 2 to "searching". Last week it took five minutes to lock onto a signal and then the call dropped after five minutes. Several times this past week I've had to use my personal cell phone (Sprint) just to be able to make a meeting. I've only seen three bars about twice on my phone. On average there are two bars. When I looked at the AT&T coverage map, I see I am a half a block too far north of the "best" coverage. I don't find their "second-best" coverage at all adequate. I was so frustrated on Thursday that I called Customer Service to complain (silly me, just added to the frustration). Are there mountains or large trees near my location? Uh, I live in Denver, so yes... . How is my service away from this location? It doesn't matter since I need my phone to work at my current location... .. The rep offered to turn me over to trouble-shooting but after five minutes of a less than helpful conversation I had to get on another conference call, so I declined. I've had service for 7 months and will be dropping them to move to another carrier. It's worth it to me to pay the early termination fee just to not have to deal with them anymore. My Sprint phone seems to work whenever I need it to so I'll be adding another line with them.

We are on a private network for work, and are provided Sprint wireless cards. I can get absolutely no reception in the Platt Park neighborhood, and reception is very spotty in Downtown Denver. Terrible. The wireless card is basically worthless to me. No work from home - 12 hour work days. This sucks.

As many before me have stated, AT&T coverage in downtown Denver is a joke. Probably 50-75% of my calls have issues (dropped, poor quality, fail). I have had the service for not quite 2 years, live downtown and have had nothing but problems. Trading in for a new phone, new SIM card, changing battery or "resetting network" has not helped. Customer service has gotten a little better about dealing with it, but the problem still remains. A "genius" at Apple told me downtown Denver has one of the worst coverage problems for AT&T in America. His words, not mine. This is not what I signed up for when I bought my phone.

I am waiting for my AT&T contract to expire in one month, and I am FINISHED with them. For the last 2 years, I have HORRIBLE reception and drop at least 50% of all calls. I can't stand it! They've made me crazy!

I have T-Mobile. I have sometimes full bars, but the call clarity is still poor, crackling and sometimes drops. I was thinking of going to Sprint as a friend who lives 6 miles from me says it work for him, but I think Green Mountain is just doomed with all cell service. T Mobile may get a signal, but can't seem to transmit to other services?

Lived here 3 years and coverage hasn't improved a whit. My wife has the same trouble with her new Droid, too. Park Hill is notorious for bad reception, but VZW may be the worst of them all. (And don't believe the carriers' coverage maps!)
