At&t sucks a fat one! phone usually never works. Rockies games mean no service at all. People call me and it never rings through. My girlfriend has AT&T also and we can't call each other in our house. AT&T is lame!
Only on Edge does it seem to be reliable in my apartment. I'm getting more dropped calls these days than before. Not sure if it's the upgrade to 3.0 software or what, but it's getting really annoying. I love my phone, but I need to be able to actually talk on it!
Used to be great but all of a sudden calls are dropped from inside the building or no reception at all. Just started in July / August '09. Guess I have to change carriers.
Ugraded to the new iPhone 3gs from the first gen iPhone and my reception is worse than ever. I use to have decent bars and can use the phone with little or no problem. Now I have to hope that I can finish a conversation
Poor reception at home - I have to go upstairs, or near a window {sometimes works}, or outside. I'm on AT&T, but my friends with Sprint or Verizon also get poor reception in my house. Looking to the Towers map, it's not surprising many around the Wash Park area complain of poor cell reception. All the towers appear to be east of University or west of Santa Fe. and north of Ellsworth or south of Hampden. I can't image why no one has any towers along Broadway - the central main N-S street in Denver, or in this heavily populated neighborhood. Please invest in a new, additional tower in this area! It's very annoying, when I can get 5 bars up on mountaintops 40 miles outside of of town...
The service was fine until approx April 2009. I have called Verizon 3 times now, and as of 7 / 25 / 09, they say they lost a lease on a tower and are working to improve the service, but since it is marginal, they are willing to release me from my contract. Calls get dropped, but mostly, the connection is so poor I have to sit still, in the right location, and not move my head.
Reception comes and goes so quick that unless you can have a full conversation in under a minute, it ain't happening. To add insult to injury, Sprint claims that they have perfect service in this area. It isn't the phone either, as anyone with a Sprint phone can't get service. If you're in this area, avoid Sprint at all cost. Otherwise, you'll be carrying around a nice cell phone paperweight.
Usually no reception during regular hours, get about 2 bars after 6PM but even that comes and goes. Tower is located at Exposition and University but never get 3G to lock up at all and EDGE is dubious regardless of signal level. Paying extra for 3G service and not getting it 90% of the time!
