The iphone will only make and take calls in the house when the 3G is turned off. It is super frustrating since our Verizon phones have worked great here for 7 years.
I'm friends with a Senior Engineer with AT&T and even he cannot do anything to help, though he's spent hours chasing this down. His best suggestion is to either move or go with someone else. I can't even use my phone at home anymore - it seems to have gotten worse - so am switching, as he suggested.
Horrible service in this area. Garble and dropped calls between the two listed intersections. The coverage is poor from Washington to Colorado Blvd. on 120th ave. Ironically there is an AT&T store on 120th Ave at washington. The store had replaced the sim card(said the cards wear out) No change. Still Sux... . Hard to find a good cell carrier. My neighbor has Verizon, likes the coverage, but says there is a 12-18 hour delay in receiving voicemail...
Rated "Poor" until the call is answered, then DROPS to "0"(No Reception). Can You Hear Me Now ??! What a Joke! Obviously Sales and Service Depts. don't talk to each other. Maybe they use Verizon!? Talking to a "Service Rep." doesn't help either. They all hem and haw and have 47 reasons / excuses as to why there's not an adequate Signal. It all comes down to the same thing ~ they Don't Care ! They have you locked into a Contract for two(2) years and if you don't like it, tough on you, just send the money. Take a look at the Tower Map. Is there any wonder why we can't get a Signal?? And, as long as they have our money, why should they spend it on such mundane things as "Service" Towers? "Can you hear me now". The State of the Art ~ It Ain't! I wonder if the CIA gets the same quality service at the Federal Center or does something else apply?? Nice "Hearing" From You!
On W. Alameda Pkwy. between Green Mountain and Bear Creek Blvd. the dropped call and no service situation has gone from bad to worse with Qwest phones. If you have a teenager who goes to Green Mountain High School, don't place any bets that if there's an emergency they'll be able to call you -- Verizon seems to be fine up there --
We recentely moved to 92nd and washington st ( Lamberson Lake) Behind safeway, and we have very bad receptions, it's cutting out all the time and not able to make conversation at all, and called tech support and not able to help out, they said it is a known issue in that area and they have no plan to improve it. Land line is the best solution at this point if you live in that area.
