Verizon has very poor reception on the west side of Estes. I complained and they basically said it was my fault and wants me to pay more for a device that "might help". When my contract runs out, I'll never use Verizon again.

AT&T tower has been down for an entire week They act like they know nothing about it. Wish someone would come in with reception over the entire town and outskirts.

Once west of downtown Estes Park Verizon coverage goes from very poor to no signal. Verizon just does not reach Rocky Mountain National Park. If someone is connected in RMNP they most likely have AT&T. Do not depend on Verizon for emergency calls while hiking.

Anywhere past mile marker 7, and there is no reception from any cell service. You would think that someone would put a tower up since this is a huge tourist area throughout the entire year. I would hate to have car trouble on this highway because you are out of luck when it comes to service.

Just returned from vacation and was surprised at how horrible the Verizon reception was in Estes Park. When I was in 'downtown' I had 3 bars max. However, in my rental cabin just a few miles away, near the Fall River Rd.entrance to the park; and in the park itself for that matter, I had nothing. 0 bars. If you are planning a vacation here, you've been warned.

Compared to most carriers in Estes Park, CO AT&T Wireless has the most extensive coverage area. Nextell and sprint are hit or miss in most areas. I Have had excellent service, except for a small area that I have come to know as a dead zone (an area bout 1/8th of a mile aroung the north face of prospect mountain (Prospect mountain is where most of the Cellular base tranceivers are located)). Outside of that zone, coverage extends well into Rocky mountain national park, and many national forest areas.
