No reception in apartment. Even stepping outside to the parking lot only gains 0-1 bars. Zero reception west of Overland Trail. Coworkers with T Mobile get usable signal whereas I can't use my phone at all. Good reception in the Foothills Mall where Verizon gets no signal. In my opinion, T Mobile has the best overall reception in FTC.

I just switched from Verizon to Sprint. I've missed more calls in the last 24 hours than I've missed in the last year. (I know I missed them because I am getting voicemails without a missed call notification.) I live in English Ranch, just north of Front Range Village. Sprint offers the Airave (look it up for more info), which will solve the problem at home, but now I'm concerned about other areas. I am an electrical contractor, and missed calls = lost business. Time will tell, but the problem is that I'm not sure I can afford to wait and see.

Random "dead" zones around town. Dependably dropped calls on Taft Hill between FtC and Loveland and just south of Horsetooth on Timberline. Terribly unimpressed and am shopping for a new phone (or service?). Previous phone and service was pre-paid from T-Mobile and never had trouble or bad coverage with that darn it!

Sprint has caused me a few headaches over the past year... . with both phones I have used I drop calls all over northern colorado - I'd say updwards of 10%, and on more than one occassion I have not been able to make a call for up to a half hour (most often when I am near CSU or especially near Hughes Stadium near a game - basically anywhere that Sprints tower might be getting some exercise) Particular Problem Areas are: 1) Prospect and Shields / Prospect and Taft Hill area 2) Laporte and Shields (city park area) 3) Mulberry between College and Shields... on more than one occassion I've been unable to maintain a connection for more than 10 seconds before being dropped over and over - perhaps tower work? I wouldn't report it, but Its happened to me at least 3 times in the past 6 months, during which time I've had 2 different phones. Strangely enough, no problems with Sprint south of Longmont or in about a dozen other larger cities around the country to which I travel. They need to update their infastructure up here - for now I'd stick with TMobile or Cingular, used both in the past in the Fort Collins area with very few problems. Good luck!

Hwy 14 / Westbound past landfill, Fort Collins, CO 80524 |

Just after passing the landfill on Hwy 14 WB my phone loses all reception. I have no bars, although the phone does not go into roaming mode, if I try to make a call, the phone keeps redailing and redialing. The reception comes back about 2 miles before you hit the interstate (I-25) on Hwy 14. Very annoying problem. This same thing happens on Hwy 34 westbound, unsure of the exact roads where reception is lost. But have dropped calls on both roads and are unable to get them back until just before the interstate.

There are lots of dropped calls. There's supposed to be a new antenna in the areas as of 12/15/03. It improved reception significantly from where it was before, but Sprint PCS still has a long way to go on improving their network. My reception in my north facing condo which faces toward the new tower down about a mile away varies between 1 and 2 bars.
