I love Verizon! It's more reliable than my comcast connection, so I canceled comcast and I just tether my Thunderbolt for Internet. I'm glad foco finally has 4g! Couldn't be happier.

I moved here a few months ago from georgia and my reception has always been perfect in georgia... all the way here... . and fort collins! Since Verizon bought out alot of Alltel stores you get to benefit from using towers from both companys without roaming fees! They also have really good calling plans! I have heard you have to go to wyoming for the nearest store... ..but it would definitly be worth the drive! Check out alltel..you wont be disappointed!

TMobile is darn near perfect. I've used Sprint and AT&T in the past and been disappointing with dropped calls all over town. I wish T-Mobile had a better selection of phones, but if you want to go for what matters (coverage, AND customer service) its a No Brainier - TMobile is #1 in the Fort.

I have had every cell phone service they offer in Fort Collins over the last few years. I was moderately happy with AT&T, very unhappy with Verizon, and Sprint is just bad if you want to be able to use it in buildings. My T-Mobile phone, however, has been great. I probably only drop a call once every two months. I almost always have full bars wherever I go. This is the company to go with!

Satisfied for the most part. Dropped calls happen only once in a great while. Some calls are difficult to understand because of choppy voice but that could be a combination of several things.

I used Verizon for almost a decade (minus an ill-fated year with Qwest). I have lived all over town: Overland Trail / Vine, College / Willox, College / Fossil Creek, Lemay / Southridge Greens, and currently Harmony / Zeigler. I even had reception when I lived in Glacier View, near Red Feather. I did have reception problems at Lemay / Southridge Greens, but I lived in the bottom of a 2-story condo, and even then it worked well. I am an electrician, and I work all over this area, and I can tell you that there are rarely times that I could not get a signal. Sometimes by the Budweiser Events Center on I-25 I would drop a call, but that's about it. I recently switched to Sprint because Verizon's data plans are retarded expensive. I don't know if I can stomach the poor reception from Sprint, though.

I recently moved up to Fort Collins from the Denver area and I have found AT&T has the best service in the Fort Collins area. Also everyone I have met up here has T-Mobile and their calls drop ALL the time. Do not get T-Mobile.

I dont have bad reception, unless I am in the mall and sometimes in my lower level of my house. I dont think Cingular customer service is very professional though.

Great quality and reception! No real issues.. Some blds. I go into the bars go down other than that perfect. Only grip would be the outlined areas (i.e. greeley, loveland) reception drops a little if you get away from I-25 to much. Stay close to the 25 and every thing is perfect!

AT&T so far is best is this area. My phone was the only one out of 5 that pulled service on top of long's peak. Overall has better service than sprint, verizon, and t-mobile. I have also been able to make calls while in the Roosevelt National Forest (pingree park area) while elk hunting!!

It really varies alot around town. My new house is actually better than my old one was by City park. I regularly get some garbling of my caller's voice and have to listen carefully and ask them to repeat things often. Verizon must have discontinued a few towers on the north end of town in the last year or 2 because it used to be better.

Although my phone shows 3 to 4 bars, GSM reception is of very poor quality in this area. Calls are full of static, there is a voice delay between callers so you have to wait before responding so you do not talk over the person you are trying to have a conversation with. Overall recetion and quality is marginal at best--does anyone have any suggestions?

Just west of Poudre Valley Hospital, I get at best 2 bars, usually 1. At East Prospect Rd. and Prospect Parkway, No Service. Colleagues with T-Mobile and Verizon can walk through the office talking comfortably on their cellphones when needed; I have to rush outside to catch a call. AT&T, can you PLEASE add a tower near us???

AT&T is absolutely terrible! I experience 4-5 dropped calls every day as my job takes me from Ft. Collins / Loveland to Greeley and back. When you call 611 they just don't seem to care. I don't need credit for minutes, I need reception. I have heard T-Mobile is just as bad, I don't know where to go next but it certainly won't be with AT&T!

Reception for me is HORRIBLE all over Fort Collins. AT&T is a big mistake if you live here--I am looking to get out of the plan all together.

Generally pleased with Verizon. Good coverage in general around Fort Collins and up and down I-25 (I've never had a dropped call when outside or in my car anywhere in Fort Collins). I've also been very pleased with nationwide coverage when traveling, and FWIW Verizon customer service is pretty decent. Unfortunately, one of the weakest areas in FC that I've run into is right near our house in Parkwood East. There, the signal is weak but usable around our home and inside on the main floor and upstairs, but not usable in the basement. Signal improves significantly within 1 / 2 mile in any direction. Notably, our older Motorola v710 phones would work OK in the basement, but not the Motorola Q smartphones.

Random "dead" zones around town. Dependably dropped calls on Taft Hill between FtC and Loveland and just south of Horsetooth on Timberline. Terribly unimpressed and am shopping for a new phone (or service?). Previous phone and service was pre-paid from T-Mobile and never had trouble or bad coverage with that darn it!

This is the phone you get a break on from Verizon if you lose your old one. Horrible propensity to drop calls along Stuart, Lemay, Elizabeth... At home (near Taft Hill and Prospect) calls frequently go straight to voicemail. Coverage on CSU campus is generally better.
