Barely ever do we get reception, have to play a game of finding the two locations that maybe work in the house, turning the phone off then on, and hope that a call or text will go through eventually. It is very frustrating.

Calls are sometimes dropped (~1 / 20), but they are often fuzzy. Better over in downtown Golden.

Good call quality outside, and can maintain a connection about 80% of the time inside. Not bad considering the coverage map shows this a a no service area.

Previously, my Nokia and Motorola phones had zero reception at my house. Last year my wife got an HTC tilt and I got a HTC 8525. these phones are GSM. all of a sudden we started to get reception at the house. the Tilt in particular gets good reception, the 8525 - sometimes it drops out. either there is a new tower, or the HTC antennas are very good. I think it is the quality of the HTC phones that make a difference.

I used to have a lowend Nokia before the iPhone. Many times it showed No Service, and when it did work, it was around 3 or 4 bars. The iPhone wasn't much better. However I bought a Wi-Ex YX510 booster for the house. Most of the time it's 5 bars and clear as a bell, but sometimes at random, it drops to No Service. So the booster helps when there's signal to boost, but sometimes AT&T just goes dead it seems. The only solution to all these problems is to lobby Congress in mass. They're more afraid of not getting re-elected than they are about losing the carrier lobby bribes. As always YMMV...

Location: Table Rock addition on North side of North Table Rock Mtn. Signal for "0" to 4 bars and changes quickly. If my phone on my desk, I see 3 bars, lift it to talk and will probably be disconected. There has to be a better solution than purchasing a $500 "repeater" for our house in order to use our cell phones.

Outside, I'm bouncing off towers like a ping pong ball. Calls love to "skip" and sometimes drop. Inside, I'm lucky to get enough signal for 10 seconds for a text message to go through. Colorado Mills mall sucks too -- unless you're in front of one of the Cingular stores. Bums put mini towers up above the stores so that they can sell their crap service. You go 50 yards down the corridor from the store and get nothing. Golden tower coverage has sucked for pretty much every provider for the past 10 years, Sprint and T-Mobile are finally pulling their heads out of the sand and putting up towers... for now.

Don't count on cell service in Gilpin County, Colorado. Cingular / ATT is removing a tower during 2007 that serves digital / analog phones and the current digital towers don't reach most of the area. Cingular says there will be no replacement tower now or in the future. If you had service with ATT before it merged with Cingular, you are being charged about $5.00 more a month to cover the cost of removal of the very tower which has been providing your ability to currently use your service. Don't look to Qwest / Sprint / Verizon for service, it isn't there and they are sharing towers.

I used to get 3 bars in town, for the last week or so, I can only get 1-2 bars. When I plug into a omni-directional car antenna, I only get 4, but phone will not make calls. I used to get 5 and have perfect reception. I think there is a tower out. I used to be the only one in the house who could get reception in the basement, now I get no reception.

I live up on the south shoulder of Coal Creek Canyon on Nadm Dr. The ONLY cell phone is my old TDMA AT&T Panasonic phone. My roomate got hoodwinked in to switching to Cingular's GSM network. DEAD, no service. Friends visiting with Sprint, Cingular, (GSM) Verizon, and T-Mobile have ZERO service. Seems stupid to call it an "upgrade" when the new phones don't even work where the "old" service did. Guess I'll stick with my TDMA until Cingular shuts it off in about a year.

Wife and I have only had 1 dropped call in probably a couple hundred calls. She works downtown Denver, I work out west (zip 80401), we live at 80212 (I-70 and Sheridan). Absolutely pleased with service. Get and receive calls in both work places, me also in basement interior rooms of office. Wouldn't consider any other service,..especially given the roll-over minutes which keep building up... never a fear of getting charged for extra minutes now.
