I used to have a lowend Nokia before the iPhone. Many times it showed No Service, and when it did work, it was around 3 or 4 bars. The iPhone wasn't much better. However I bought a Wi-Ex YX510 booster for the house. Most of the time it's 5 bars and clear as a bell, but sometimes at random, it drops to No Service. So the booster helps when there's signal to boost, but sometimes AT&T just goes dead it seems. The only solution to all these problems is to lobby Congress in mass. They're more afraid of not getting re-elected than they are about losing the carrier lobby bribes. As always YMMV...

Wife and I have only had 1 dropped call in probably a couple hundred calls. She works downtown Denver, I work out west (zip 80401), we live at 80212 (I-70 and Sheridan). Absolutely pleased with service. Get and receive calls in both work places, me also in basement interior rooms of office. Wouldn't consider any other service,..especially given the roll-over minutes which keep building up... never a fear of getting charged for extra minutes now.

Well up until this late summer, my reception at my house sucked. Then Verizon put up a new tower in my area. Now I get 5 bars all the time at my house. Also before the tower I got no reception were I ride BMX, not I get decent reception there. Ive noticed that through the rest of the denver area, the average reception is 3-5 bars. I see alot of negative reviews for verizon, but I havent experienced good service in the Denver area. Alot of these are around my area, and must have been before the new tower. I have had two different phones, my other being a Samsung, and both get the same reception.

Good call quality outside, and can maintain a connection about 80% of the time inside. Not bad considering the coverage map shows this a a no service area.

Previously, my Nokia and Motorola phones had zero reception at my house. Last year my wife got an HTC tilt and I got a HTC 8525. these phones are GSM. all of a sudden we started to get reception at the house. the Tilt in particular gets good reception, the 8525 - sometimes it drops out. either there is a new tower, or the HTC antennas are very good. I think it is the quality of the HTC phones that make a difference.

I've suddenly started getting coverage at my house (previously zero bars). T-Mobile must have put a new tower up. Finally.

I live up on the south shoulder of Coal Creek Canyon on Nadm Dr. The ONLY cell phone is my old TDMA AT&T Panasonic phone. My roomate got hoodwinked in to switching to Cingular's GSM network. DEAD, no service. Friends visiting with Sprint, Cingular, (GSM) Verizon, and T-Mobile have ZERO service. Seems stupid to call it an "upgrade" when the new phones don't even work where the "old" service did. Guess I'll stick with my TDMA until Cingular shuts it off in about a year.

Calls are sometimes dropped (~1 / 20), but they are often fuzzy. Better over in downtown Golden.

Even using Yagi directional ant / amp at 7265ft, and having near-LOS out of canyon, I can still only get two bars. Am now working on "ridge-line signal bouncing" to try and pull in EVDO constantly... .naturally, Verizon's Manager keeps knocking me down from broadband to Nat Access, but hopefully in 2007, they'll resolve that little issue with their next PC card series.
