live on north side of mountain facing roosevelt national forest. can get 3g when standing on the front (north side) of house. 8-10 feet in any direction from the "sweet spot", nothing. Just got an Airave Airvana, had problems initially. The trick was to locate it near the front of the house, so the phones "see" the Airave instead of the weak tower.

Horrible on 36 from what I can recall Verizon was no good on 36 either. At home works well most of the time but occasionally there are long stretches after high wind that there is no service. The service is boulder is lame. You can be in the middle of town with 5 bars and drop calls. This is much worse than verizon. I never had major issues with Verizon, I just wanted the iphone.

I lose calls on most of Hwy. 36 N out of Boulder - comes back when I get to the end of Hwy. 36. Then works fine through the town of Lyons, but spotty at my house up a canyon ( works on the deck, in the greenhouse, not in main house) I'm thinking about an I-phone, but wonder if AT&T will work up here... .

Occasionally connects and a few SMS' get through. Leaves my phone in a state where everyone gets a busy signal. Highly frustrating. My brother on T-Mobile gets 3 bars and has no problems at all. My phone works fine in Boulder and Denver.

I can get reception up the hill on Ewald street and also on Reese St. Not down near the river. Sometimes I get calls at home and they drop within a minute.

On a good day, we can call and get immediately disconnected. I am using an old phone. However, in boulder it works fine (3).
