I had a Cingular phone that was always working OK until Cingular switched to AT&T. Then the signal was horrible. I switched to a new AT&T RAZR V9 and now I get 5 bars at the same location. Go figure Something changed with the towers when Cingular switched to AT&T.

Both my wife and I were on Verizon (see previous post) and recently switched to Cingular. We now both have 4-5 bars on both of our phones where before with Verizon we would have 0-2. Also at my work I would have No service at worst to 1 bar at best. Now I have 2-4 bars depending on where I go in the building. At the local King Soopers, there would be No Service with Verizon. As a man in a grocery store, this sucks. But now I can actually have conversations with my wife (i.e. call to find out what I forgot.) Definitely pleased with Cingular at the moment.

I have Cingular, I was on AT&T, they told me if I signded up with Cingular the reception would improve due to being on Cingular network. Well that didn't work, I love the phone and work in Colorado Springs, when at home I can take a call about 10% of the time without being dropped. The data feature is non-functional. I have talked to others with other carriers and they have the same type of reception at our location. Customer Service says to turn your phone off then back on and it will aquire the strongest signal (da-you have to have a signal to aquire one)

Everytime we are on Powers we lose our reception... By the time we hit Stetson or Carefree it's gone... And there is no getting it back no matter how many times I turn the phone on and off... I will drive up towards Monument and I still can't get the phone to find a signal... AT and T says it me... However, my husband's phone doesn't work, and the gals, at the church, phones don't work either if they have AT and T... They don't care and want to charge me $175 bucks to cancel for service I am not getting...

Well, bad gets worse up here in Monument. Called T-Mobile today, they offered to let me out of my contract due to their quality issues here. I have a 5' strip in the house that I can make calls from... or go outside in the snow to make calls. Sucks... doesn't seem that anyone is having luck with any carrier here though.

Near County Line Rd. and 83 (Kings Deer), Monument, CO 80132 Tue Jul 12, 2005

T-mobile does not work at all in Kings Deer, or the surrounding area. I had to drive 4.5 miles to the I-25 to recieve or call. Reception on 83 does not work until I reach the Interquest Parkway. Fortunately, the company is a good one. When I called to cancel my T-Mobile cellular plan, they promtly waived the $200. early cancellation fee!

We were with Verizon and got at most 2 bars ever. And that was on the west side of my house right next to the sliding glass door. Anywhere else in the house and it would be no bars. Switched to Cingular and the reception is better.

Verizon suggested purchasing new phones to get good reception. No such luck. Zero reception at home. One bar can be obtained by going outside.
