I had a Cingular phone that was always working OK until Cingular switched to AT&T. Then the signal was horrible. I switched to a new AT&T RAZR V9 and now I get 5 bars at the same location. Go figure Something changed with the towers when Cingular switched to AT&T.

Both my wife and I were on Verizon (see previous post) and recently switched to Cingular. We now both have 4-5 bars on both of our phones where before with Verizon we would have 0-2. Also at my work I would have No service at worst to 1 bar at best. Now I have 2-4 bars depending on where I go in the building. At the local King Soopers, there would be No Service with Verizon. As a man in a grocery store, this sucks. But now I can actually have conversations with my wife (i.e. call to find out what I forgot.) Definitely pleased with Cingular at the moment.

I have Cingular, I was on AT&T, they told me if I signded up with Cingular the reception would improve due to being on Cingular network. Well that didn't work, I love the phone and work in Colorado Springs, when at home I can take a call about 10% of the time without being dropped. The data feature is non-functional. I have talked to others with other carriers and they have the same type of reception at our location. Customer Service says to turn your phone off then back on and it will aquire the strongest signal (da-you have to have a signal to aquire one)
