Have 2 IPhones (3G / 3Gs) and get no reception in house; have to stand at elevated point in front / rear to get cell reception. Phone will ring in house, but cannot talk. Have installed "cellphonebooster" and it does nothing. Absolutely frustrating!
Wasn't sure if it was my old phone that's the problem, but when I read the rest of the reviews it seems like it's the area that's "up and down". Sometimes I have great signal, but most of the time I have one or two bars, or no bars at all.
This phone is better then Virgin Moble where I got no servicde at all. It is not only the cell phone service in this area I get no FM radio reception either
I don't know what all the "trouble" is with Greenwich. But I get full 5 bars pretty much anywhere in Greenwich proper. AT&T has been excellent in this area. Much better than Verizon from what I can tell from my friends that visit. Everyone in my apartment has AT&T. It's really good reception.
2 bars, sometimes 1, occasionally 3. My phone will ring occasionally but person on the other end won't be able to hear me and call will inevitably be dropped. Texts are sometimes okay, voicemails get delivered hours late. Thought about changing carriers but everyone says service is poor in this area whatever carrier you have.
While I have had no issue with my cell reception since switching carriers and phones I would like to comment. The reason that Greenwich has so many dead spots is because the town residents do not want towers in their neighborhood. Yet again Greenwich is worried about appearances and sees itself as being better than the rest of the towns in the state. Get off of your high-horse Greenwich and let a few more towers in the area.
live on Hillside Drive. I had Nextel and got no reception! The cell phone would ring only on occasion and call would be immediately dropped. Voicemails pop up at home 6-12 hrs. late and can only retrieve them using my land line. Switched to Sprint / Nextel as per Greenwich salesman... ... would be much, much better! Now I receive absolutely no calls until I drive close to the post road! Had Optimum phone lines installed and when those lines go down I have to drive to Starbucks to be able to use my cell phone to call for repair! It's just a joke!
