In the last two month, I only have 1 to 2 bars tops and often lose reception completely. Previously I had no problems in February 2010. Always had 3 or more bars. My phone works perfectly in Westport, CT (20 miles away) where I work. Often have 5 bars there. Has anything changed with the cell phone towers in Milford, CT 06461??

For whatever reason this area has terrible cell coverage. You would think with with a somewhat high population density over a very small area that service wouldn't be so poor. I previously had Sprint and would constantly have a dead battery, not get calls / messages for days at a time etc. I now have AT&T and the service is better but still not very good in many areas. Sprint just sucks.

I drop calls in the area between the Little League Field and Milford Hospital EVERY DAY! Calling Cingular is a worthless endeavor.

I live on the shore (probably 300 yards from the water) near Walnut Beach. Reception in my house is horrendous, rarely can I make or receive a phone call in my home, even checking voicemail is a hassle. Both my roomates have Verizon, and their reception is no better. I guess this is a function of living on the shore, but annoying nonetheless, I do not have a landline.

Cingular and the Nokia work great here at the beach. With Verizon Service kept switching to cell towers in Long Island. With Cingular no problem. Really Impressed.

1-2 bars if I stand still (inside or outside) and then no bars and the call drops. There is an AT&T tower down the street but it hasn't helped. Coverage on the shoreline in Milford is terrible.

I get pretty decent service anywhere in Milford besides near the beach where it will roam. I've had times I couldn't use my phone on parts of Route 15 and some rural areas but as far as Milford goes, the reception is good. My brother has Cingular and doesn't get good reception at all in his house but with Sprint I get perfect reception. :he also lives in Milford but a different section. Even with decent reception, their customer service and billing errors are enough to make we want to break my contract. Thay are NOTORIOUS for messing up on your bill or having longer than 30 minute hold times, only to get hung up on when you finally reach customer service. And this is NOT an isolated incident.

Lots of dropped calls. Signal goes from 3 or 4 bars to no bars constantly. I can look to the North in the winter and see the cell tower on Wheelers Farms Rd.from my living room, why I have poor reception both inside and outside my house is a mystery Sprint cannot explain. As move over the rest of Milford reception is generally good except along the beach where it is also terrible. Friends who have Cingular and Verizon seem to have no problem at my house even in the basement.

Depending on where in my house I have 3-5 bars, never less. Outside always at least 4 bars, so not sure why the other Sprint comments say reception is bad in milford. I do drop down to 1 bar when on the beach.

Anywhere near Foran High School to Woodmont beach area expect to bid farewell to whomever your talking to.More than once I told the person I was talking to I'll call you back because we're going to get disconnected and guess what, within a matter of seconds it happened.A shared tower on Eels Hill Rd would solve all the carriers problems.
