A tower was approved for several blocks from my house. In july I was told it would be fully functional by this november 2011 I see surveying stakes placed and a backhoe at the location for several weeks now and no other work going on A call to Verizon today and I was now told another 6 months to 1 year The tower construction is outsourced and out of verizon's hands Sorry I made that call I upgraded to iphone 4s in october and not much better than my old htc eris You know the signal is poor if even the iphone 4s can,t improve the situation I've about had it I live very close to the earlier comment from the vicinity of virginia / platt streets Looking at tower location map of my neighborhood overwhelmingly shows the serious need for a tower Please Verizon can you encourage cell tower company to expedite our tower Thank you

In the last two month, I only have 1 to 2 bars tops and often lose reception completely. Previously I had no problems in February 2010. Always had 3 or more bars. My phone works perfectly in Westport, CT (20 miles away) where I work. Often have 5 bars there. Has anything changed with the cell phone towers in Milford, CT 06461??

For whatever reason this area has terrible cell coverage. You would think with with a somewhat high population density over a very small area that service wouldn't be so poor. I previously had Sprint and would constantly have a dead battery, not get calls / messages for days at a time etc. I now have AT&T and the service is better but still not very good in many areas. Sprint just sucks.

I get pretty decent service anywhere in Milford besides near the beach where it will roam. I've had times I couldn't use my phone on parts of Route 15 and some rural areas but as far as Milford goes, the reception is good. My brother has Cingular and doesn't get good reception at all in his house but with Sprint I get perfect reception. :he also lives in Milford but a different section. Even with decent reception, their customer service and billing errors are enough to make we want to break my contract. Thay are NOTORIOUS for messing up on your bill or having longer than 30 minute hold times, only to get hung up on when you finally reach customer service. And this is NOT an isolated incident.

I drop calls in the area between the Little League Field and Milford Hospital EVERY DAY! Calling Cingular is a worthless endeavor.

Right on the shore. In the parking lot it's 5 bars on my Verizon while my friend gets 0 bars with his Cingular. Inside the condo both of us get 0 - no reception. When I called and asked Verizon about it I was told that shouldn't be the case since the reception on the water should be good. Okay...

I live on the shore (probably 300 yards from the water) near Walnut Beach. Reception in my house is horrendous, rarely can I make or receive a phone call in my home, even checking voicemail is a hassle. Both my roomates have Verizon, and their reception is no better. I guess this is a function of living on the shore, but annoying nonetheless, I do not have a landline.

Cingular and the Nokia work great here at the beach. With Verizon Service kept switching to cell towers in Long Island. With Cingular no problem. Really Impressed.

Lots of dropped calls. Signal goes from 3 or 4 bars to no bars constantly. I can look to the North in the winter and see the cell tower on Wheelers Farms Rd.from my living room, why I have poor reception both inside and outside my house is a mystery Sprint cannot explain. As move over the rest of Milford reception is generally good except along the beach where it is also terrible. Friends who have Cingular and Verizon seem to have no problem at my house even in the basement.

Good reception with Verizon. No dropped calls. Don't have to go outside to make calls like Cingular, which also always dropped calls or I wouldn't get calls all together. Never had that problem with Verizon, their service is a lot better.

Depending on where in my house I have 3-5 bars, never less. Outside always at least 4 bars, so not sure why the other Sprint comments say reception is bad in milford. I do drop down to 1 bar when on the beach.

Anywhere near Foran High School to Woodmont beach area expect to bid farewell to whomever your talking to.More than once I told the person I was talking to I'll call you back because we're going to get disconnected and guess what, within a matter of seconds it happened.A shared tower on Eels Hill Rd would solve all the carriers problems.

1-2 bars if I stand still (inside or outside) and then no bars and the call drops. There is an AT&T tower down the street but it hasn't helped. Coverage on the shoreline in Milford is terrible.

Almost every call ends with a "dropped call". I can't keep a call longer than about 3 minutes before an intermittent drop. The signal strength will drop from 3 bars to zero then back up again (after hanging up on my caller). Sprint has good coverage everywhere else (including some areas of my Carribean cruise!)... why not CT?!? Considering we're the north suburbs of NY City, can't we get a decent signal, Sprint? Can you hear me now?

I have had Sprint since 1998 and loved them. Once you get past the customer service (which improved drastically mid-2005), they're not a bad company. I've had great coverage across Washington, Oregon, West Virginia, and even in the New York metro area. Why can't CT get some more towers?! I work literally in the middle of downtown Milford (there are no high-rise buildings here to block RF either). My phone battery is dead after being unused all day, just looking for a signal. The signal pops in and out, but only long enough to notify me of a voicemail from a missed call that never rang. Up and down the Post road, and on the 15 parkway, there are intermittent dropouts too. There are no consistent places to get good or bad coverage. I don't dare use the phone for fear it will disconnect... it's literally that bad.
