Reception is spotty up near haviland hollow rd rt 37 area have to go outside my house to get service to make a call. Although its not terrible coverage, the new tower if installed behind dog pound should help for better coverage in the valley up and down 37 north -tk

I use T-Mobile as my personal cell phone. The Nokia 6290 is an old analog phone I've had since 1999. I don't get reception at home, which is okay for me. However, I get 5 bars throughout the town. My work phone is a low-end LG on Verizon Wireless. I get one bar at home with a drop call once in a while, which I expected. When I travel into the center of town, Verizon's coverage is spotty, even down Rtes 37 and 39. Verizon is suppose to have better coverage in the fall. Additionally, I have a work Blackberry that's on Cingular. This has the worse coverage in town and at my house. Signals get dropped frequently. I work in White Plains, NY and travel I-684. T-Mobile and Verizon get awesome coverage all the way. Again, Cingular has the worse coverage. Thank goodness allowed me to test 2 additonal providers.

I live almost at the top of the mountain. My phone will bounce between 3g to 1x to nothing without moving phone. I can have 3 bars and can not make a call.

Good reception all around Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, Danbury and New Fairfield, including high-speed EV-DO data access. Very few deadspots. Sherman lacks data coverage and has many deadspots - try Cingular / ATT or Nextel in some areas, which is sometimes better or sometimes worse. New Milford gets worse as you get north but works OK along Rt 7 to the town center.

Today January 27, 2006 Verizon finally got on the tower and I ahve perfect service everywhere in new fairfield
