While other people complain about dropped calls, I can see why. The simple answer, unfortunately, is poor handset quality. I am one of two Sprint customers in my complex who gets reception, and the same goes for where I work (also in Norwalk) - in both cases they use the same phone as myself or a derivative. Myself and my family have gone through eight different handset models and found that we keep coming back to the Motorola P8767 TimePort due to dropped calls, no connections and poor signal quality on all of the others, and we have purchased and returned several new phones, with the exception of one: the Motorola V60v. I can stand right next to someone without enough signal to make a call and get four bars and make a perfectly clear call. Due to their lack of current equipment that works at my location they will be loosing me as a customer shortly.

High class problem: want to spend free time at boat and still be in touch with my office, my wife, my kid. Cingular, aka AT&T, won't let me do this. The Nokia is 4 yrs old. Works well any where else in the country, original battery still holds a good charge. I see others at the boatyard having trouble-free phone conversations. Me, I'm roaming the parking lot looking for one lousy bar. Out on the water the coverage is better. Rowayton vicinity is the worst.

Rowayton has many dead spots. Very iffy reception at the house, sometimes great then again nothing. Can the weather be an influence? The beaches in town are dead. Although I see many phones in use there from other carriers?

Very inconsistent reception, especially in the house. Lost calls over and over again. I am getting tired of Verizon wireless. It is time to change.
