Since 1989, no matter what cell phone I used or which carrier I had, we have not been able to use our cell phone at our home, indoors or out. We get 1-2 bars in the house. Outdoors, we get a brief 3 bars that quickly goes away without even moving the cell phone. I have moved in all directions and the cell phone reception is not strong enough to receive a call and stay connected or to make a phone call. When I leave the house in my car, as I go north towards Ellington Road, if I have a connected call, it will be dropped before I reach Ellington Road. Quarry Brook is a hilly street and I had thought we were too low of an elevation and had hills blocking th reception. But after reading the comments, it appears that I am not alone. That this entire area is under-served with towers or the towers are not high enough or with enough ?power to pick up and relay our calls. In fact, the customer service Rep from Cingular / AT&T today looked at a map and said that there is a huge difference on her map of the number of towers West of the Connecticut River compared to east of the River, even in the towns east of the River and close to I91. So, I am finally writing to the company to complain that we should be able to use our cell phones in our home. I will send them a link to this page as well, so they will know it is not only myself but many others who do not get reception that is enough to complete a call without the call being dropped and most of the time not even being able to make or receive a call.

Seems like T-Mobile removed their service from the tower right outside my job, I used to have 4-5 bars all the time and now I can barely get 1 bar! It is constantly searching etc. The Gravity isn't a "free" phone, so IDK what is causing this. I've had T-Mobile for about 5 years, this just started happening the last few months, I've already replaced the phone once (defective) and the new one is doing the same thing...
