I have had most of the major cell phone carriers (AT&T, Verizon, and Nextel) except T-Mobile and none of them compare to Sprint. Even though Sprint and Nextel are together, it depends on which phone you have. Nextel offers their own phones and the same with Sprint. But they do make what they call "Hybrid Phones" which uses the Nextel Direct Connect (Walkie-Talkie) but the Sprint phone service. I just recently purchased the Blackberry Pearl 8130 which uses the Sprint phone service and finally get great service where I live. I live next to Karabin Farms on Andrews Street. Outside my house and while traveling down the street all of the other carriers it was two bars at the most but I would lose calls in a lot of areas. With Sprint, I get a minimum of two bars and thats only when I am in my basement. I can even browse the web in my basement! Outside and down the street, at least four bars. I have not dropped a call yet. I am very pleased with the Sprint service. It may be a little bit more expensive every month since I chose the $99.99 / month for unlimited everything plan which includes minutes, text, picture / video messaging, e-mail, and internet. It's worth it to me since my phone plays a big role with my occupation. So with that said, Sprint gets a 5 out of 5 from me.
