I'm suprised to see that people have trouble with Verizon around here... my service is very reliable. It may be more related to the quality of the phone you purchase rather than service... I get great service all over CT, as I have for the past 8 years with Verizon.

To the person who writes that he can't hold a call with Cingular on the Merrit. I have made a call from the Sikorsky bridge and went to New Canaan without the call dropping. I think you need to get a new phone, don't blame the carrier. I have found very few dead spots with Cingular. It's just as good as Verizon(which I had for 5 years) if not better. I can make a call in Big Y in Monroe which I could never do with Verizon. I also made a call in Brookfield on Rt 7 and drove 7 to 84 to 34 to 111 and into Big Y without dropping.

I get good reception pretty much anywhere, better in some places than others. I'm not surprised when people have no service and I do because it happens quite often.

I am in stratford and I have ATT. I usually get 0-1 bars at my house. Called ATT several times and they said they'll send a tech to check the area. Its been over a year, havent seen any improvement. ATT has terrible customer service.

T-Mobile in Stratford is very poor, No signal I dont understand how come they dont contract a cell tower on top of the Police or Fire station or City Hall. Overall T-Mobile is decent in its service but for Stratford CT its not a good reference for them.

I have used this phone in several locations. This is what I have found: 1. Along most of the Merritt Parkway: Mostly good. Some dead spots. 2. On Route 69 near the Prospect / Waterbury border: No service. 3. Riding the train on the Metro-North line: Calls get cut off. 4. Several attempts to use the phone in Rockland County, NY: Mostly no service, calls that did connect were cut off.

Trumbull Center SUCKS! with Verizon Will it ever get fixed? You can't even sit in Starbucks and talk on your cell and have a coffee. Like I said! IT SUCKS!

Usually I have good reception. Only one spot really is a problem, Nichols ave and huntington ave near Bunnell High School. Other then that I have had great reception everywhere. I even got great reception while in Italy, Hawaii and the island of St. Kitts in the carribean.
