My reception in my area is perfect all throughout the area, my home, and in my basement. I have no complaints, and I don't remember the last time I had a dropped call. I did have a problem once, where it was late at night and I went from a full signal to one bar, and it stayed like that for hours. They were probably doing repairs on the tower or something, but that is my only problem.

For the first time ever (4 years now) I was able to get 4 bars in the middle of the restaurant, until the ATT / Cingular merger, I was only able to get 1 bar, and that was only in the front of the restaurant near the window - very impressive.

T-Mobile coverage is very poor at Dupont Circle. I can go days without service in my office and have to walk down to M St. before I get a decent signal. I'm going to switch to ATT / Cingular.

I have used two Nokia phones in my home with perfect reception at all times, and a Sony Ericsson that never worked, all on Cingular's network. My only gripe is no service on the train...

Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, Downtown, Capitol Hill, Metro System, Department Stores, Office and in my highrise not a single glitch. Strong signals everywhere and the package I purchased was generous. Have nothing but good to say about their support and Sprint's service!

I am unable to get a good signal of more than 1 or 2 bars in my home, a low rise condo. There are also areas nearby such as Naylor Rd. and Alabama Ave. SE, that there is complete loss of signal for at least 2 to 3 miles. I have called the service provider numerous times. The response was that there are no towers there. When asked what I should do since I am unable to use my phone in a large part of the neighborhood, I was told to consider another provider by a customer service agent. After speaking with her manager, I was told that the previous answer was unacceptable, offered several free months of service, and promised to be notified when the towers were put up. It has been over 3 months and no improvement. I guess the customers in areas of Anacostia are dispensible.

If I stand outside or right next to a window, I can get two bars of signal. Otherwise, it's only one bar or "No Service" inside my apartment and various other businesses in the neighborhood. My phone won't ring with one bar, and outgoing calls are painful and drop out frequently.

Nextel service sucks in WDC in general. Many dead spots or worse yet, great reception one minute, then non the next from the same spot. I have many dropped calls. Service in Brookland, NE Rhode Island Ave., NE Michigan Ave. really sucks. I miss my Verizon phone.

Phone will display full signal. However, the majority of the time when you dial a number, it will drop to 1 bar or zero. The call quality is very poor and fluctuates.

I never had a problem in DC or Arlington (Wilson Blvd. and Washington Blvd.). I get great reception in the house on all floors including the basement, great coverage at work (downtown) in the building on the 3rd floor, and great coverage in the Metro. I wouldn't trade it for any other service in DC.

I get perfect service every where in DC. I have service underground in the Metro, above ground in buildings, everywhere. I highy suggest my phone, the Motorola V710 which was recently released for Verizon. I've only had one dropped call and that was because I was in analog roam in South Carolina. Completely perfect.

The entire Metro system. If you've got a Nextel phone, you're dead in the water. You won't be talking to anyone (other than the person sitting next to you on the train) until you come up out of the ground.

Always, always, always! I can count on my calls being dropped if I'm on I-66 (westbound) around the Glebe Road exit. Another spot is in Greenbelt, MD near NASA Goddard.
