Reception is rocky. Had a prepay phone as a spare at it would pick up the tower in Cape May over the one on Coastal Highway. Calls would sometimes drop but not too bad.

My phone will play around sometimes and change signals when I hit this area since I'm getting closer to the tower. If I'm on edge and it sees 3G, it'll drop for a few seconds and change over. Pretty reliable.

I use to have a Nokia that ran on EDGE, didn't work well at all. The added 3G at the beach has improved signal tremendously. I can even get signal sitting down on the beach now.

Stellar service up to the Boardwalk, starts to drop off a little bit around the hotels and funland. But overall good

Great on 3G, rough on edge. 3G keeps calls and sounds great. Edge is shakey, goes out sometimes.

Does not work well at all on EDGE service. It will show bars since roaming, but cant make call. Switch it to 3G and youll get decent service. Stellar call quality for distance from tower. Usually 2-4 bars. Can still ring with no bars, but I always get great 3G signal since they activated the tower.

Always can grab a signal, but often don't have the ability to place a call. Data is hit or miss. Everything works well further north on rt 1 by the strip malls, but generally is lousy between the Rehoboth boardwalk and Dewey close to the beach.

Coastal Hwy. From Dewey To Bethany, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 |
Sun Jan 13, 2008 |
Not totally bad. Never drops off. Signal just stays low since the towers are in Bethany, Long Neck, and Dewey Beach and juggles between the three. About the best I've had for this road. Virgin, Booost, Sprint, and Verizon dropout constantly around here.

Wonderful reception. Tower right next to Blockbuster really makes a difference and has improved signal as far as the state park. I <3 MY CINGULAR!

Not too shabby. Goes dead on beach-block streets, but above hill on 2nd blocks and up to town hall, decent reception. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have alot of people on it. I use to have verizon, but will never go back. AT&T seems like the way to go.

The reception rating is different. You may have 3-4 bars appear on your phone, but the moment you touch the phone and start to talk, forget it. Reception is very bad here, takes forever to find a signal, and I have the newest razr! Such a pity. Once my contract is up, I'm going to AT&T.

The only cell phone company that CAN get signal here. About 3+ miles from a tower and lots of trees dont damper the signal, unless your antenna is inside the phone and not sticking out of the top. I love Cingular compared to Verizon Wireless.

Works perfectly in all of Rehoboth. Verizon is the best, especially around here.
