With Verizon now having a tower just off of 231 in the south part of Alford now Verizon has done something in this town that no other carrier has done. They have provided a full signal of 4 out of 4 both indoors and out in all parts of the town. This is a first for those who live east of the HWY who for years have been lucky to have 1 to 2 bars outside much less inside of their homes. Still in areas such as downtown Marianna the suffer from the poorest service of any carrier around. Hopefully this will influence the other carriers in the area to get their act together and take care of their loyalest of loyal customers who have ben faithful since the days of the bag phone.

Sprints signal is fragile in this area with a maximum of 2 to 3 bars out of 5, however their CDMA technology allows for me to have a stable conversation without loosing my call in most parts of town. However their are a few places east of town where I have to go outside to talk though in this area that is common due to a lack of tower availability.
