Nextel is not the best. I have pretty good coverage most days. During and long after hurricanes it was practically non-existent. Service is expensive though so we have added back an Alltel phone to our family. As soon as Nextel contract expires, I'm going to all Alltel. Much better price, coverage and service. Alltel has improved greatly over the last couple of years in service including customer service.

Phone shows full service on signal indicator, 3G icon is working. As soon as I pick up the phone and call any number the 3G icon goes away, the signal drops to zero, and I can not make a call, send a text message, etc. I also can not receive any calls or texts when I am at home. The texts are delayed if I even do receive them.

NEXTEL SUCKS! I get no reception in my home and up until 3 weeks ago had excellent reception every where around my house. I have called Nextel and not a single person cares, not like I really expected them to. I have 4 Nextel phones and they certainly don't care about losing business, because they told me they were sorry to hear about me leaving but could offer no resolution. Too bad everyone in central florida can't get it together and make nextel / sprint see that we are a large enough market for them to invest some money into. Like the concept hate the service.

I could just about comment on everywhere I dont have service--and its a lot... nextel does not want to fix the problem, only tell me they will send someone out to evaluate it... idiots and poor with customer satisfaction... .no service from the "s" curves going north on 559 until you reach I-4... .crappy service and crappy customer service... if I wasnt a nascar fan before Nextel took over I would quit watching!
