I've had Nextel, AllTel and now the iPhone 3G. None work here. The iPhone is good for internet access via my home WiFi network. My daughter's Alltel worked once I think outside a couple of years ago. Nextel never, even with an external antenna (car magnetic antenna) and on the second story of the house. I can see the CBS TV antenna from my house. If someone would put a cell antenna on it. I would have great bars and I could fire the Sprint landline. But that ain't going to happen. Same with cable. I could get rid of my WildBlue internet satelite if I could get digital cable. Can't get any cable. Disgruntled in Esto
my phone is constantly searching for service in the izagoa community area.. I am hoping that there will be something done to improve this or to be able to find a service that has reception in this area..
Just Switched from Nextel to Alltel and I wish I had done it sooner. Reception is great from Panama City up to Dothan, and most of Washington County except a bad spot just South of Esto around Hwy. 2. I am also able to get a strong EVDO signal, and have seen internet speeds upto 1.2mb / s dl. Since DSL / Cable are not available I use Alltel for my Internet also. Before, I had to use Dial-up at 28.8kbps. I believe I am 3-4 miles from a tower.
