We have had AT&T for a few years now moving from the very poor service and reception of Nextel. Overall we have been happy with some issues when traveling into south Alabama and South Georgia. AT&T has been putting alot of time and money into the towers in this area and with the addition of 3G in our area and new service in areas we have never had service all is well. With family in Blakely Ga and never having service there was not a good thing but the last trip we made AT&T now has great service in that area... way to go AT&T... we are enjoying our new 3G in Bonifay area and much better coverage while traveling... some work left and hope they get it all worked out but happy with AT&T !

Just Switched from Nextel to Alltel and I wish I had done it sooner. Reception is great from Panama City up to Dothan, and most of Washington County except a bad spot just South of Esto around Hwy. 2. I am also able to get a strong EVDO signal, and have seen internet speeds upto 1.2mb / s dl. Since DSL / Cable are not available I use Alltel for my Internet also. Before, I had to use Dial-up at 28.8kbps. I believe I am 3-4 miles from a tower.

Alltel id good but I am lloking in to a new phone And V / w as we all know is taking over alltel.

I've had Nextel, AllTel and now the iPhone 3G. None work here. The iPhone is good for internet access via my home WiFi network. My daughter's Alltel worked once I think outside a couple of years ago. Nextel never, even with an external antenna (car magnetic antenna) and on the second story of the house. I can see the CBS TV antenna from my house. If someone would put a cell antenna on it. I would have great bars and I could fire the Sprint landline. But that ain't going to happen. Same with cable. I could get rid of my WildBlue internet satelite if I could get digital cable. Can't get any cable. Disgruntled in Esto

my phone is constantly searching for service in the izagoa community area.. I am hoping that there will be something done to improve this or to be able to find a service that has reception in this area..
