Daytona North. Verison is spotty at best. I also have a older Motorola razor with a AT&T sim in it. I get a little better results with it. I guess Cell companies just don't care about rural markets.
The closer I get to CR 305 the more bars I get. I can't make a call from home at all, even with 3 bars. Cingular has been promising more towers for over 2 years now and hasn't delivered. During the hurricanes I had to go to the Country Store to get any reception to report the power and phones were out. Improvements don't look too good.
Well mostly you will never know. Spotty reception at best. No sense in making a call as you will most likely be dropped. Went to Nextel from Cingular after the Hurricanes cause the radio feature was the only thing working (in and out) but have been waiting and waiting for better coverage. They keep promising. I love the radio feature but I can not use my cell phone from the house. Radio only sometimes. Never in the same spot. Cingular reception there is exceptional but I hate dealing with there billing mistakes.
This very weak spot, sometimes dead, is worse near White Eagle Bar on US-1 and has been reported for years--all the carriers need a tower near here and a site was chosen by ATT before it decided to get OUT of the tower business and focus on landline service years ago. Guess THAT changed and now Cingular is worse for the merger!
