upgraded to new plan with data and Android etc and lost the capability to even talk / they send "free" microcell with the promise of " 5000 ft range" and its more like 30ft range... now we have to come home and turn on router and cell etc just to use the phone from the office area only... ... call tech support and they refer us to their maps saying they have full coverage... .they must be democrats for the amount of BS they are shovelling at me.

I usually get 1 bar except in unusual circumstances when I get 2 bars on a handset with an external antenna. On a handset with only an internal antenna I get 1 bar or no service most of the time.

GSM reception is spotty varying between none and 2 bars whithin 100 meters. There are 4 cell towers withing visual range of this area. Often I must manually select a T-Mobile tower for service. I'm on Cingular and use an unlocked and unbranded Motorola V635 quad band handset.

Every time I make a call, it is dropped at some point. It also happens at Bryan Dairy / Starkey. I now make a point to tell people when I call them, that they may be dropped. Going ahead and paying the $200 to get out of the contract and find a different carrier with better reception in the area!

Switched to AT&T GSM after SEVEN YEARS with Alltel, just to get this great T610 picture phone and lower my monthly costs (Alltel is expensive). Big mistake. Alltel had great coverage, zero dropped calls, great cust service. AT&T screwed everything up, starting with the new web order! My calls go straight to voicemail, no ring, with 2 bars. Can't talk in my own house, no reception. Can't talk at work, no reception. Should have stuck with Alltel. We'll see if Cingular improves things after the transition........

No reception in my home. We must stand outside to talk on our phones, and even then the reception is poor. Everywhere else in town is fine. Strange

Calls in my house go directly to voice mail. I do not hear the phone ring. Heck, I can not even call T Mobile at home. Have to get in the car and drive to US 19. They will not let me out of the contract without paying the $200. I am contacting Rep Bill Young's office about this and the FCC. This is the worst service imaginable! Numerous calls to T Mobile have resulted in nothing being done. I am telling everyone not to use T Mobile. I have 50% or less signal at the house and 80% elsewhere.
