drop calls very very often 98%, no bars inside house, very bad reception. when receiving calls the first time it says the call cannot be made at this time, call again right away and the call goes to the voice mail, and the third time the call goes through but drops after two minutes. Service stinks.
The phone shows good signal 4-5 bars, but the calls are dropped after a few minutes or become so garbled that no one can understand you. You then have to hang up and try again. According to the map and Cingular themselves, I am in the middle of three towers with excellent coverage. I have fought with their customer service for months with no joy. Cingulars own engineers have admitted that their equipment is outdated and in poor shape. If you believe the stupid d of Cingular about dropped calls, then I have some swampland here to sell you. Their service ranks dead last all over the country in Consumer Reports. I also have Nextel phones that work fine here, but really fail when moving around the country. As a past engineer for the phone company I can state that Cingular is obviously in the contract selling business, not customer service or quailty of service. W. Reynolds
I am a truck Driver, I have rollover minutes and I have a lot of them because the Cingular no bars coverage from south bay to clewiston, moorehaven and labelle will not complete most of my calls. when it does it will drop them before I am done. I will look for some other company when my prison time is up with cingular.
