I am very happy with Alltel service and coverage. I have had no real issues in the area or while I have been traveling. I have only found one dead zone for coverage and it is on 85 just before the north end of 123. It is only a few moments and it is hit or miss. My contract is up and I am going to renew with Alltel. I have had three other providers and this is the best coverage I have ever had. I travel west and north and have not had any problems with getting a signal. I just wish Samsung had a touch screen with Alltel.

I recently tried Alltel from Cingular because Cingular's plans are outrageously high. But it was a great decision because the coverage is just as good if not better than anybody else here including Cingular. More people should really consider Alltel in this area and I wish they had a more visible store. But their network is about flawless here and consistently on 4 or 5 bars out of a total of 5 on the phone. The plans are in a different league than Cingular. Alltel offers more minutes for the price on every type of plan. The My Circle feature is awesome and is basically unlimited calling for me because I don't spend a lot of time talking to more than 10 numbers. I would go with a Motorola phone on Alltel's network because the calls sound great for me, no drops, and excellent reception. I've tried them all and Alltel's coverage is just as good as anybody else except their plans offer a lot more. They are a good decision for this area.

My reception varies south of I-10 east on John King but I hardly ever get dropped calls. I am a long time AT&T user and that should tell you that I am satisfied with their service. Would really like to have 3G service here in Crestview though. I think the Edge system is way too slow to be paying for it. The 3G coverage in Fort Walton Beach is way faster.

Phone reception is so horrible... I can't call anyone and when I do get a hold of someone you can't hear past the buzz. Family plan and they have different phones same problem.

OMG... for the amount of money AT&T charges you'd think you can use the telephone without having to stand completely still in one spot or bammm call dropped. It's just as good as talking through two cans and a string.

We recently moved to Crestview and switched to AT&T. We went into the store and the sales person boasted about how much greater their reception is here so we took the bait and invested in the iPhone. Horrible decision! When I went back into the store, thinking it was my phone, I was told I get bad service because I live south of I-10 and I needed to buy a booster for $150, which I refuse. If you travel between Crestview and Eglin, FORGET talking on your phone. Half the conversation is bubbly sounding and then your call gets dropped. This has happened to me every day since getting this service 2 weeks ago. Beware!

I am in a new subdivision off Hwy. 90 near 393 and I have had great reception. I make road trips to NC, NY and lower FL all the time with no problem. The NC mountains and WV mountains give me trouble occasionally but this is the best service I've found.

I started out with Verizon and the service was horrible. Most of the time I didn't even have service. I switched to Cingular and have been very pleased with the service. I frequently travel between John King and Duke FIeld and Eglin AFB. I haven't had any trouble on Hwy. 85. I have decent recetion while on Duke Field, even while inside most buildings. Hwy. 123 has a couple of dead spots in the lower areas. Hwy. 85 near Eglin's ACC gate has one short dead spot. On Eglin Main my service is great, even near the Commissary and BX where I notice most people have no service. I have talked to many people that work and travel in the same area. They have all said Cingular's service is the best they have had in this area. I have been told that the phone manufacturer has a lot to do with the type of service received. Ask your service provider if there is a specific brand of phone that works best on thier network.

Poor or no signal in this rapidly growing area in Crestview. At least two subdivisions going up but no signal on Cingular phones.
