Service is mostly okay until peak tourism, then it is splotchy and it sucks to not be able to get business done by my phone which is the entire point of having it! Many, many times during the day I get errors on trying to send texts, cannot receive data, cannot make phone calls out, miss incoming calls. I agree with another reviewer that last year during July AT&T promised to fix the problems but now here we are with only the spring break crowds (April 4, 2012) and it renders my phone virtually useless! If I could get my company to change carriers, I would do it in a hearbeat. Very unsatisfied with AT&T and I hear it from everyone who uses them!

Vacationing at a condo in Destin proper right off highway 98. There is absolutely no ATT service here. Several members of my family are all on ATT and from different parts of the southeast and none of their phones can make or receive calls. Ridiculous.

I have no network connection at my home location. NOT at ALL! ZerO bars! Such a horrible service! For the first time, it happened on July 27th, 2011. Since that, they promise every day to fix it, but nothing has been changed during the last three weeks! At the same time, they require to pay full price while they are not able provide proper service!

We switched from Sprint when we moved from Destin up to DeFuniak Springs. It was the only company that had a coverage map that included this area - Sprint had us "roaming" here. I don't like the service. There are phone numbers that Cingular says they cannot connect to (toll free VA clinic among them) They did let me keep my old phone number when changing companies. Most of the time we get decent reception but due to not being able to call certain manditory numbers with our phones, we will be looking for a different carrier - and are getting ready to move to Crestview.

For the past 2 months I can not get any reception in my house in Destin. I called Sprint today 4 / 27 and they said it was a tower and they would work on it. We will see... I am in Destin

Bad service everywhere in the greater Fort Walton Beach / Destin area. I can not connect, send text, or hold a call every day from about 3PM to 10PM. This has been going on for several months. Not my phone... ..it is happening to my husband and daughter (daughter live in Oklahoma and is a flight attendant) happens to her all over the country. We all have different kinds of phones, so it is not the phone... .IT IS THE SERVICE!

We get 1 bar in the house, and only two bars from the highest point on the roof. We'd like to eliminate our wired phone, but the cell reception locally is just too poor. Can hardly make a call inside, spotty outside. I'm told the recption is similarly bad on Indian Trail in Destin. C'mon, Verizon, upgrade your towers!

Switched from Sprint 4 years ago because constantly had lost calls when on the road. Lose very few calls even along the beach areas. AT&T relatives who visit lose calls constantly! Verizon may not be perfect, but my old cell still outworks any other carrier!

In Northwest florida Alltel used to have the best reception. Now that Verizon has moved in, they are clearly the new leader in coverage here. Verizon is truly the best carrier in the nation and NO ONE can compete with their coverage, and thats the most important thing. I've had Sprint (who shouldn't even be allowed to sell phones here because their coverage is so bad) Cingular (whose tdma was awesome, but gsm sucks here) and Alltel ( who because of they way they bought out markets here they have a lot of dropped calls on market lines) all of whom should be ashamed that they call them selves cellular companies. Verizon is the best and its great being their customer.
