when first got had down load speed of 50 kbs then 6 mos later was no better then 30 kbs has stayed at less then 30 kbs at all times from 3-1-'10 to 5-1-'11 from 5-13-11 to 5-25-11 has gotten as high as 600 kbs but most times is between 100 to 150 kbs some times lower back down to ~ 40 kbs no explnation as to why change is not any other inter net avabile here

many times droped call or call failed or no service less then 5% of time is 3G avabile at 1 to 2 bars 70% of time no data reception avabile when can get data can not teather at more then 40kbs 80% of time is g2 reception with out data at 1 to 2 bars is called GSM was misslead by sales man in ocala was told 5-5-11 that g3 tower would be active on 6-1 with out fail..

Works in front rooms of the house. Loses signal in kitchen. Has 1-2 bars in the front yard. I can drive all the way down HWY-40 from Dunnellon into Ocala and never lose signal with Sprint. I've had Sprint for over 10 years so I figured I would try a few others. Recently tried At&T (iPhone), T-Mobile (blackberry pearl and 8320), and Verizon with the Blackberry Storm (doesn't have voip capabilities). Verizon had about the same signal, but the phone was buggy (a known issue). AT&T was spotty in the house, it worked outside, but occasionally dropped calls. T-Mobile is USELESS up here. The T-Mobile phone do have wifi (voip) capabilities, I'll give them that edge. Have to go into town (near Walmart) to get a T-Mobile signal. Good luck if you live in or near Tropicana Lakes!

calls dropped all time I can see 2 cell towers from my house phone goes from roam to home just sitting on table Alltel gives no good answers tried other types of phones also. T mobile and verison work fine here

Drop calls all the time and choppy when at others. Only safe place to make calls in the house are in the kitchen, driveway (sometimes) and backyard odly enough. Inconsistent coverage.

Totally variable on any given day. Which way are you facing, and what is the color of your shirt today? Three different basic phones haven't worked, and a friend's expensive $200 one does! I'm looking for a new phone now!

Does anyone have an answer to no bars in Rio Vista, if I get a call through, it is immediately dropped! Horrible, what are we paying for here anyway!

If I can get a call to go through, it usually is terrible reception and drops within 30 seconds or so. Horrible coverage and service with two supposedly Alltel towers within 3 miles! How come??!

There is a tower just east of Hwy. 41 and the corner of Hwy. 328 (Marion County, FL - Dunnellon zip code) and our farm is 1.5 miles west of this corner. Coverage is typically 1 bar or no reception - but if you stand just right you can actually go from 5 bars to NO SERVICE by moving your feet slightly. Truly amazing. And these clowns have the nerve to bombard us with those disingenuous full of crap commercials. From my own experiences and visitores to the farm + what I have read about coverage in this part of Marion county we are all out of luck. And broadband wireless is a dream.

It shouldn't matter which phone I get or the plan. Its reception I want regarless of the plan or phone. So far not much luck.

very poor reception. topography blocks most cell signal(trees,hills).have to climb on top of house to get 3 bars of signal.

Verizon claimed that they now are sharing a tower with Cingular near the Walmart on Hwy. 41as of January, 2006. I live less than 3 miles away from this tower and have no Verizon service. I've updated my phone per their suggestion and still cannot receive Verizon but still pull in the extended network of Alltel when I'm lucky to get any service. 99% of the time I cannot use the phone in my house because of no connection to a tower and if I leave my phone on, the battery drains at an incredible rate because the phone is always trying to find Verizon to connect to and cannot. Calls that do get through are constantly lost and Ihave to try to reconnect over and over again.

Poor to no reception on golf course, no reception in house.
