Never in 6 years have I had an issue with reception with Verizon from my home or surrounding state... with the exception of the Wal-Mart on 44, and the new Home Depot, also on 44. Other than that, no dropped calls or static. I just wish they would lower their prices, or give you more bang for the buck.

Verizon's reception in the Edgewater / New Smyrna area is quite good. There's never a need to look at your phone to see if you can make a call. Overall im very happy with there service.

Calls go through from home but sound "cuts out" and recipient can tell I am talking on a cell phone. Sound not clear, connection poor, not a strong signal. All other functions work well: internet, weather, nav system, etc.

cell phone has mediocre reception indoors, perfect recpetion outdoors. I can take and hold a call indoors though despite the mediocre reception. when roaming (for free) on verizons towers, I get outstanding reception just about anywhere :)

the reception here is ok outside, once in awhile, but since I only use my cell for everything, I am trying to figure out how to boost the signal inside, AT&T has told me to turn the phone off and remove the battery for at least 1 minute then it should improve the signal, this does not work and I knew it wouldn't as I am an electronics technician, I have done the research and found that while Motorola makes a good phone their antenna to signal ratio is by far the worst in the industry, so when I am able I am going back to an LG phone as they have the best antenna to signal ratio, when I first moved to florida shores I had an LG env and never had an issue then I got this phone and have had nothing but trouble even at work. my advice to anyone living in the edgewater / new smyrna area is to use only the LG phones for the best transmission / reception.

Need to make calls outside, and even then reception and service is poor, and unreliable.

One would think that Nextel could figure out how to give their biggest fans reception in a town where there are two races a year. My phone only works on rare occasions and you can forget it during race and bike weeks. Have a Cingular too. Atleast it works in my house when I'm not getting Call Failed. I'm convinced they all $uck money out of our wallets in return for NOTHING.
