I get terrible reception, data rarely works. I upgraded to the 4g EVO from my 3G Palm, even worse. I can't even browse the internet and my phone calls are constantly dropping. I've been with Sprint for 9 years and this is the worst it's ever been. Even if I go outside or by a window, it's terrible reception. Even with 5 bars lit, I get poor connectivity.

Reception has been perfect in this area for us, despite having phones that are a few years old. My other half uses a Sanyo M1 phone.

Sprint has either a problem with their Sanyo Phones or their towers in this area. Dropped calls all the time. They have tried to help me by giving me a new phone but still the same problem with call. I am about to change phones to see if I can better call quality. I'll be back here then.

Always get 3 or more bars in my house (out of 6). I get service pretty much everywhere around Cooper City and the South Florida area- including in buildings.

Phone fades out and drops calls inside my house. I usually have to go outside to finish the conversation. This phone seems worse than the Sanyo phones I had in the past. I reported it to Sprint but nothing has changed. I would change to Verizon if they would give me the same plan.

No reception at all. I wish I knew this before I signed a 2-year contract with Sprint.

I always have to walk outside my house to talk on my cell phone. When I'm inside I miss half of all incoming calls, which go to voicemail without the phone ever ringing. I've had three different phones, two by LG and one by Samsung, but the problem is not with the phones. My cousin lives three blocks from my house, and there I get no signal at all, not even outside.

Sprint is not alone. 2 yrs ago I was on the Nextel network, just as many others have stated I experienced a lot of dropped calls or missing calls. Tried Verizon and the Audiovox phone held a sold 2-3 bars with fair call quality during the 14day trial, then went with sprint. At first the Sanyo 5400 worked well but after going with the Treo 650 2 bars is the max- I get voicemail notification with o the phone ever ringing, constant dropped calls, my best reception is out on the balcony. Looking to give Cingular a shot for 14day.

Great reception outdoors, indors, even in the elevator. My old phone (by LG) was almost useless in my area, but this new Sanyo MM7400 even works in a nearby underground parking garage. Love it. Sanyo=expensive, but it's worth it. P.S. Raising the antenna on my phone NEVER makes a difference P.P.S. Unless you are awaiting news of the birth of your child, please turn your cell phone off in restaurants and theatres. And if you are awaiting such big news why are you out on the town anyway? You get my point.
