Ever since I was forced to upgrade from a Nokia 6360 to a Cingular 3125 due to an AT&T system upgrade, I have had dropped calls between Sunrise Blvd.Southbound A1A to Harbor Beach (South of 17th Causeway Intracoastal Bridge) and Sunrise Blvd.Northbound on Bayview Drive. Do not plan on any reception at Blue Martini in the Galleria Mall.

Despite it's poor ratings on this website, AT&T has been great for me! I've had it for about a year now (switched from Sprint) and have never had any signal issues whatsoever!

Unuseable inside my towhouse. Phone rings inside but calls have to be taken out in open area of parking lot to work. I can't even stand out front around buildings. Thinking about T-Mobile.

I have had on and off reception with AT&T over the years. I think a lot of it seems to depend on the phone. My Nokia before this one couldn't hold a call anywhere, and though this one has its reception issues, it works a good 85% of the time. I had no problems with it throughout the entire hurricane season. My husband however, has a sony ericsson, and has never finished a call yet. The phones are still AT&T phones though, so perhaps upgrading them will help.

Had no reception after Katrina for 2 weeks and none for 3 weeks after Wilma. Dropped calls are the norm. Cingular thinks they are the best but everyone around me have 4-5 bars and I ended up using their phones after the hurricanes.

I had the razor phone and it wasn't the greatest, a lot of dropped calls etc. Just got an unlocked SLVr L7 quad band and it has got 5 BARS. WOHO! I think it's the phone not the carrier. This phone blows away my last one. Tested it side by side with my girlfriends phone on the turnpike, she would have 1 bar and my new phone would have 5! Food for thought? JP

When I receive calls I can hear the other person clearly, but they say I am breaking up. Second phone to do this- other one was Sony-Ericsson. Very frustrating since I've disconnected my BellSouth landline and there is no other way to call me. After reading the other posts here, I'm can see I'm not alone. All of my troubles are recent, but Wilma is long passed and any repairs should have already been made. Maybe I just need ot go back to BellSouth landline and a pager. I can't say I'm getting my money's worth with CIngular's current service.

I have to walk out to the street in front of my house to receive calls or make a call. Calls do not connect but will come up as a missed call or go to voice mail which will ring. Over all very bad service, I was with ATT before and feel the service over all was much better. Unfortunatly all the others are just as bad.

My Cingular contract just ran out and I'm switching to T-Mobile because Cingular is not offering any good deals. I guess they're too good(or too stupid) to woo customers. Well Cingular's reception has always been great everywhere I've ever gone except Alcoa Tennesee, but money talks. I just hope that T-Mobile is OK. My phone arrives in a couple of days. / fingers crossed

Cingular is out right awful reception. I have tried 5 different phones from v60 to treo and can count on dropped calls to a point when someone calls I tell them its a good chance the call signal will be lost. I have to scurry around to find a location that may recieve / send calls. Cingular techs have one line of B.S. or another why such lousy service and coverage. After many expencive years (10)with Cingular / Att and probably 50 thousand dollars they will not see another dime from me our my company. Cingular is lousy and cheap not to have proper reception in such an important area.

I am throughly disapointed with the reception I get from Cingular. I can't begin to tell you how many conversations have been broken-up! I have been on the phone with them many times with NO satisfaction. I have even been told by a supervisor that the problem was because it was spring break and the system was overloaded! They have, In my opinion, given me terrible customer service. RAISING THE BAR? I think not!

Two bars average at my house, 1 block from Broward and Nob Hill in west Plantation. If I walk from one end of the house to th other, I can get 3 bars. Pretty much everywhere else in the metro Fort Lauderdale area I mostly get 4-5 bars, if I'm in my car. Inside buildings the signal is more sketchy. One weird thing about this phone is that I'll be having a pretty clear conversation, and then all of a sudden the call gets dropped. This is so annoying. I have friends who live halfway across the country who get so frustrated with the call drops that they beg me to let them call me back on my landline. IMHO, cellular still isn't ready for prime-time.

Using several pones including latest TREO. Sony / Ericson Motorola the receptin in downtown Fort Lauderderdale has been worse than disapointing! One would think that the business 'hub' of a major South Fla city would have it right by now yet reception has been near non existant and very poor quality. Dropped calls and arching out with screaching sounds at about 100 db prior to loosing conection realy irritating to say the least. At the upperfloors of the buildings highrise or office buildings (including exterior open air) balconies the reception and connections are extemley poor. The Broward / Las Olas near Riverfront and Watergardens complex (Northside facing Sun Sentinal Blg.) is worse than ever. After an hour with CINGULAR / AT&T tech department they informed me that the "towers' sending / recieving have been downgraded! With all Cingular / ATT put into massive($$$$) P.R. T.V. campaign on how great the reception is why such terrible reception! I will buy lunch for whomever can get some facts and cure or can come up with a solution for north side upper floors of the WATERGARDENS 347 North New River Dr.East! Thank You!
