Along Las Olas from Hendricks Isle to Royal palm - no bars. Again on A1a from Bayshore to Vistamar - no bars. These are heavily populated areas, yet there is no service. Repeated calls to T-Mobile have shown they do not follow through when customers have problems. They have a list of excuses, and now say that Motorola has lowered their frequency due to radiation concerns, and suggest I upgrade to another phone at my expense, because the problem is with Motorola.

Ive had Verizon for just over 5 years, and I have never had any major issues until I came to work here in the Fort Lauderdale area(Bank of America building)I even called into to verizon, and they told me that they are going to be adding a cell site very soon. Other than that Verizon is still the best service by far.

I can't believe I haven't read more about the downtown Fort Lauderdale location. I know there is construction going on and with Nextel being the 'Leader' in this industry one would think there wouldn't be a single complaint. Well here's one the record. After three pathetic years I was given the approval to jump ship. 'F' that! I want reception! I have LOST business! Am I being compensated? HELL NO! I GET A BILL FOR NO SERVICE! Isn't that theft? If we are all paying, and yes some dearly for cell service, don't you think cell towers would be everywhere? Even in this day and age! Come on already. I've complained to the FCC and still nothing. Who has to regulate the regulators? Oh yeah, US. Remember when you vote, you vote for those who have a track record and are able minded business people willing to go the extra distance to providing the public which voted for them in the first place, a well deserved service! Why can't these companies share cell towers anyway? They do it with the wired kind!

Service moved from Below Average to Perfect by moving 10 blocks south and 20 floors up; maybe "good" is too strong a rating, but you can here me now. I travel frequently, and the worst reception I had was, of course, at home. Shifting positions on the couch caused calls to be lost. Just before Wilma, I moved to a downtown highrise, and all service is good: apartment, parking garage, elevator, etc. I was going back and forth the week after the hurricane and talking with coworkers all week. My old location (3rd and 6th) had no service at all (just like after Katrina); my new place had the best reception out of everyone I talked with. Side Bar: nearly the slowest wireless service out there - it's only dial-up speed!

Cingular is out right awful reception. I have tried 5 different phones from v60 to treo and can count on dropped calls to a point when someone calls I tell them its a good chance the call signal will be lost. I have to scurry around to find a location that may recieve / send calls. Cingular techs have one line of B.S. or another why such lousy service and coverage. After many expencive years (10)with Cingular / Att and probably 50 thousand dollars they will not see another dime from me our my company. Cingular is lousy and cheap not to have proper reception in such an important area.

Using several pones including latest TREO. Sony / Ericson Motorola the receptin in downtown Fort Lauderderdale has been worse than disapointing! One would think that the business 'hub' of a major South Fla city would have it right by now yet reception has been near non existant and very poor quality. Dropped calls and arching out with screaching sounds at about 100 db prior to loosing conection realy irritating to say the least. At the upperfloors of the buildings highrise or office buildings (including exterior open air) balconies the reception and connections are extemley poor. The Broward / Las Olas near Riverfront and Watergardens complex (Northside facing Sun Sentinal Blg.) is worse than ever. After an hour with CINGULAR / AT&T tech department they informed me that the "towers' sending / recieving have been downgraded! With all Cingular / ATT put into massive($$$$) P.R. T.V. campaign on how great the reception is why such terrible reception! I will buy lunch for whomever can get some facts and cure or can come up with a solution for north side upper floors of the WATERGARDENS 347 North New River Dr.East! Thank You!

These maps are whack. the addresses for the towers do not match locations on the map. the cingular tower on 21st ave, if the address is correct is shown 1 block west of andrews, which would put it 20 blocks further west than shown.and the other one is in the wrong quardrant. I would trust the printed addresses, as they have to be filed with the FCC.

Great reception outdoors, indors, even in the elevator. My old phone (by LG) was almost useless in my area, but this new Sanyo MM7400 even works in a nearby underground parking garage. Love it. Sanyo=expensive, but it's worth it. P.S. Raising the antenna on my phone NEVER makes a difference P.P.S. Unless you are awaiting news of the birth of your child, please turn your cell phone off in restaurants and theatres. And if you are awaiting such big news why are you out on the town anyway? You get my point.

Signal all over Fort Lauderdale goes from 100% signal one second to no signal the next second. It then takes 2 minutes to get signal again. Direct connect fails to go through 3 out of 5 times.

No Reception indoors. No internet, no txt. Might as well be off. Condos, restaurants, everything down there is a black hole. Quite sad really. I used the tower map above and it pretty much spells it out. One cell tower in East Ft Lauderdale. One. Click At&T just as a comparison. Wow. I like my phone and android - but only when it's working.
