Use Alltel 6 months in Flrodia and 6 months in Wisconsin - perfect both places. A Note... .Was told that cell towers are mainly built along major roads - if you need good service - find a major road.

inside my home and in other homes in the 33908 area I get poor to no reception and now i'm stuck with sprint.

We have three different phones LG 225; LG 125; and Motorola VT60, and all have poor or no reception in our home. My son's (VT60) is the newest and works better than our other two (LGs)especially if he goes outside. I have the worst of the 3 (LG 125) and begin to lose reception as soon as I turn into our complex. I have spotty reception around town... sometimes I have 5 bars, then the next minute I have no bars. Not recommending Sprint in this area. Trying to find a solution to our dilemma if anyone has advice?

Overall reception is unsatisfactory, especially in the home, too many dropped calls. There the most I get is 2 bars, sometimes only 1. Disgusting! At times it will alert me that I have a message, when it never even rang! One time my cell alerted me that I had a message, when I checked to see who called, it was a message from a friend who was sitting right in my livingroom. The alert came ONE hour later. It was proof to my friend how lousy reception is in Gateway. Am changing carriers!

Reception inside of the office is terrible. Considering switching my entire fleet of phones if something isn't done soon.

Have had Alltel since the GTE days. Have also had almost every other carrier through work and been all over SW Florida. No carrier is perfect but Alltel is by far the best overall. Works inside buildings and more importantly inside my home which allowed me to get rid of my home phone. What good is a phone you have to go outside to use, especially during rainy season down here? I find the commercials of some carriers funny who brag about there networks (Cingular, Verizon), as that definately does not apply in this area (especially Cingular). Would definately recommend Alltel as the best carrier in this area.

Reception is up and down, no consistancy. Will have full bars and without even moving will go to none. Dead spots eveywhere from Gateway Blvd., SR 80, 41, and Cape Coral. Dying to find something better!

Does proximity to an airport affect service?

one bar if you stand outside on one leg while pointing left index finger at the moon. Inside no calls can be made and are dropped if picked up.

I have had Alltel for more years than I care to admit to. My first phone was the old bag phone. I have traveled all over Lee County in my job and used my Alltel phones. Never did I have trouble making a call or have a call dropped. Even on Sanibel, I could get good reception on my phone. Currently I have both a Motorala flip phone and a Kyocera phone. When ever we have traveled, the phones have worked flawless. I would recommend Alltel to anyone. I get full service inside my home on both phones.

No service in my apartment whatsoever! I use a cell phone as my primary phone and for business, I can't be going outside to my car to make calls any longer.

T-Mobile coverage is non-existent out here, same for Sprint. Cingular will sometimes work outside. Definitely leaving for Verizon.

Turn Left or Right, side to side; take a step, and reception "Gone" like the wind! Have had ATT and AllTell with same results.

Much improved reception in San Carlos Park- US 41 north of Corkscrew is much better as well as the interior of SCP along Sanibel Blvd. A year ago I could not recommend Nextel but in the past several months it has improved much better, and is now among the best of the cellular services in San Carlos Park area.

This area used to be prone to no service or dropped calls but now it is much better along Alico Rd.from ben Hill Griffin rd all the way to Lee Rd. Looks like Nextel is now using the tower behind the red Barn on Alico, as well as the tower on FGCU.

My Nextel phone used to be unusable in the FGCU arena but now it works great. I think that Nextel is now using the tower on campus. Reception along Ben Hill Griffin is much better too.

This area for Nextel used to be barely usable but since mid December it is now pretty much full bars all the way from Lee Rd to Three Oaks Parkway. Much improved!

With new phone can now talk inside home. With old Samsung had to go outside. Reception average to good in local area and around country.
