Even though my reception is below average, the calls do come in perfect. The only time my calls dropped was when my battery had to be replaced after 10 months. Once the battery was replaced I was back in business. I do receive reception inside my house. I can make outgoing calls and all of my incoming calls are received. Just love it.

System worked like a charm before Hurricane Charley in August 2004. Since then, it just plain sucks. Dropped calls all over the place and poor reception to boot. As soon as my contract is up, we are switching to someone with a better product.

Nextel reception is just bad all around SW Florida. I work in Gateway and spend a lot of time around in the area on my personal time and very rarely do I get even 3 bars.

This coverage is awful and that is being nice. I have to leave the phone on the other side of the house in order to possibly get a call. NOT! The salesman lied to me when considering their service. If you consider, PLEASE DO NOT! go on the website and put in your whole address, not just the zipcode, and you will see the real picture. He told me that we had GREAT service in my area but once later looking at the website and put in my address I actually have little to poor service. My telephone is now the 6th one SINCE DEC. '04. I thought it was the phone but I do not agree. I called vmail from my phone and got my greeting - that truely is not a phone issue. As I write this my phone has rebooted itself 10 times atleast and it is not even noon. I am actively persueing contacting the State Attorney General Office. All I want is out of my contract. CS told me that they would note my number and if I wanted to cancel then I could BUT my husband cannot cancel, even though we both live in the same house. If I cancelled then my employees would need to stay on the plan til it ends. HOW STUPID IS THAT?

Just Like AT+T, Sprint constantly drops my calls from home, gets no signal at all, or displays a "roaming" signal (even though phone bought only a few miles away). Stay away.

T-mobile is the perfect carrier anyway you look at it, I've had it for years now, only a few dropped calls, but the thing that makes up for that is their customer service, no-one can match those guys, they help me out every time I have a question / problem.

No reception or better yet, all calls dropped or not sustained no longer than one ring. Very bad reception. No reception in or around home to work. Looks like I am now shopping for a new carrier, contract is up.

Just about every Nextel subscriber I have talked to in the area complains about the spotty and inconsistent signal. In downtown, I frequently get "No Service". Rarely do I get a full signal and when I do it is fleeting. Nextel says it is working on it, but for the past two weeks, nothing has changed. It is apparent that Nextel paid big bucks to sponser NASCAR and must sell many many phones and plans to recoup. Unfortunately, they do not spend on increasing network capacity and quality. I am seriously thinking about cancelling and taking them to court to avoid the termination fee. Further, I believe that if all customers did the same, they would get the message and fix the system.

I have had Sprint PCS for 2 months. I drop calls on a 50% basis. Indoor reception is almost no existant. 90% of the dropped calls are when I am not moving. Almost never get more than 2 - 3 bars.

Don't expect Cingular (TDMA) to be good on the main areas of campus. Once you get into the heart of the campus, and inside classrooms and the dorms, Cingular gets 1-2 bars at the most. Note: AT&T (TDMA) is starting to turn off its TDMA towers near campus, since Cingular tries to hold to a signal from their network longer than it use to.

If you go to Florida Gulf Coast University, don't expect reception to be great. Out in the open you can get a couple bars, but inside the classroom or at the dorms it's bad.
