Major highways all over the country ok. In towns, suburbs problematic.

I have had Alltel for more years than I care to admit to. My first phone was the old bag phone. I have traveled all over Lee County in my job and used my Alltel phones. Never did I have trouble making a call or have a call dropped. Even on Sanibel, I could get good reception on my phone. Currently I have both a Motorala flip phone and a Kyocera phone. When ever we have traveled, the phones have worked flawless. I would recommend Alltel to anyone. I get full service inside my home on both phones.

Even though my reception is below average, the calls do come in perfect. The only time my calls dropped was when my battery had to be replaced after 10 months. Once the battery was replaced I was back in business. I do receive reception inside my house. I can make outgoing calls and all of my incoming calls are received. Just love it.

I couldn't talk on the phone inside the house AT ALL, I was forever losing signal. It was awful.

i no longer can use my phone in my home. nextels customer service is terrible as well.my phone will be right next to me and not even ring

0 to 1 bar at best in apt complex THE PLACE AT SUMMERLIN. dropped calls are the norm and even if you go out side not much difference. called customer service multiple times and was not happy with their response(s). also same issue with Verizon wifi... .. poor signal... ... .

I am always full on bars and have never had a problem in this location.

Use Alltel 6 months in Flrodia and 6 months in Wisconsin - perfect both places. A Note... .Was told that cell towers are mainly built along major roads - if you need good service - find a major road.

No reception or better yet, all calls dropped or not sustained no longer than one ring. Very bad reception. No reception in or around home to work. Looks like I am now shopping for a new carrier, contract is up.

If you go to Florida Gulf Coast University, don't expect reception to be great. Out in the open you can get a couple bars, but inside the classroom or at the dorms it's bad.

In this area my reception is great, I never drop calls or never have less that 2 bars. And I cant wait until MetroPCS brings 3G or EVDO or I think its 4G but either way my internets going to be faster.

San Carolos Park area, Fort Myers, Florida I have a Verizon air card for my laptop. For the past TWO years (contract up end of this month) I've never had a good experience receiving coverage. It takes 5 minutes (to two hours) to load a page. I see they have good ratings elsewhere but not here, believe me. Was on this website looking to see where to turn next. I need a connection that will work and thus far have spent $60 / month for the last two years on next to nothing. AT&T says it will give me 30 days to decide (returns accepted) so perhaps I'll give it that a go. Glad this website is here for sharing what can be a great savings on time and money.

The area around Healthpark Hospital is terrible, the housing community I live in, Sail Harbor at Healthpark has 0 bars, you can not get a signal in any of the homes in Sail Harbor. I'm sorry I ever left AT&T, AT&T 4 bars, Alltel 4 Bars. Sprint 0 bars, no service.

Sprint coverage in this area of Ft. Myers is dismal or worse non existant. I could have left my phone in the box it came in. As an aside, I received a call at Ft. Myers beach from Sprint asking how I liked their phone and service and in the middle of our converstation I lost the signal. Sprint never called back--typical.

I have had Verizon ever since the box phones. I have never had a problem in Florida or for a matter of fact anywhere that I have travel. The only place I have had a problem is Petersburg MI and it is only in the town. I would recommend Verizon to anyone.

inside my home and in other homes in the 33908 area I get poor to no reception and now i'm stuck with sprint.

We have three different phones LG 225; LG 125; and Motorola VT60, and all have poor or no reception in our home. My son's (VT60) is the newest and works better than our other two (LGs)especially if he goes outside. I have the worst of the 3 (LG 125) and begin to lose reception as soon as I turn into our complex. I have spotty reception around town... sometimes I have 5 bars, then the next minute I have no bars. Not recommending Sprint in this area. Trying to find a solution to our dilemma if anyone has advice?

No service in my apartment whatsoever! I use a cell phone as my primary phone and for business, I can't be going outside to my car to make calls any longer.
