Verizon has the best signal in town as far as I can tell. I have friends who have sprint, AT&T and t-mobile, and they always have problems where we live. I also travel a lot and Verizon has a very good to excellent signal anywhere I go in the US or Canada.

Been all over the US even in the mountains one east coast and I don't drop calls. My service is great!

Only get reception near the windows or in the elevator lobbies. Cuts off in the elevator of course!

Would love my service except for not being able to use in everywhere in my house. It's only consistent on my porch, which is a drag in the winter. Think it makes a difference that my phone is old? Would a newer phone make a difference in reception?

My reception is terrible at my house near Haile Plantation in Wilds Plantation. My reception at my office on SW Archer rd near their stor is also terrible. I have complained and they just tell me they do not guarantee service inside a building.

Sometimes Verizon works well but sometimes, in my backyard in downtown Gainesville (Pleasant St.Neighborhood) I get no reception. All the time I won't receive notice of missed calls or received messages for hours. Sometimes until the next day. Customer service at store near Archer and SW 34th St.is deplorable. I strongly recommend not getting this service.

Have had minimal problems with signal strength / dropped calls / network busy signals. Wanted to switch to Cingular for the iphone but after talking to people with Cingular I think I'll stay with verizon. One dead spot is at 39th / I75.

I own a LG VX6000 camera phone which I use on Verizon's America's Choice plan. I get great coverage all over Gainesville, FL (32614 and 32606). I have used the phone also in Orlando and Cape Canaveral, FL and I have had no problems. GSM coverage is lousy and spotty here, they (AT&T Wireless) should of never gotten rid of TDMA. Both AT&T Wireless and Cingular customer service is one of the worst in the business. Would beleive that Cingular customer service is closed on Sundays! You have to be kidding!

I have overall been very happy with Verizon's coverage. But I notice in the NW area of town in the blocks that lie between 34th and 43rd Street and 8th Ave. and 39th St. seems to be a notorious dead zone. Get out of that area and reception seems to be fine.

Somebody needs to shoot the Verizon "can you hear me now" idiot. Even when i am on the road, calls get dropped and people say it sounds like im talking through a tunnel. phone is near useless for calls made in house or even outside house. I talked to the verizon people and they said with the newer phones that have color screens and other power hungry features that they power had to be reduced to the transmitter. I dont know if thats bull or not, but i had a old bulky Nokia 3285 that worked much better, guess they dont make phones as good as they used to. Ive tried other phones from verizon too, including LG brand with similar results
