Excellent reception with Alltel, inside buildings, etc.

previous AT&T phone had better signal (but not much)

Reception in my house is barely there to say the least. In my driveway I can usually get 2 bars but the house is 1 or none. There needs to be a tower put in the Holley by the Sea area.

Dropped calls. Well first let me say that I was using ATT fisrt and went to Cingular because of dropping so many calls. However it seemed that all I really did was to trade one set of dead spots for a differant set of dead spots. Most resentlly found that even though the phone has full bars that I still drop calls or have emergency calls only. Had the antenna replaced but no differance. My next step is to use the warranty option. However if that does not work then I will have to buy back my contract at 10.00 for each month remainning. It this point it might be worth it. Just a note just in case someone from these phone companys are reading this web site, When will someone just make a phone with way less options but works when you need it. I would use a brick with an antenna on it if it worked! Thanks for letting me vent. RLB

I get good reception with my Nokia 3360 just about anywhere in the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area. I get Cingular extended a lot though.

Having great difficulty with making calls out. Showing 4 bars but calls will not go through. Incoming calls come in but than as soon as I answer, no one can hear me. Have to connect several times to complete 1 call. Also had trouble placing calls while on Pensacola Beach.

On highway, signal is "acceptable". Near home, about a half-mile North of Hwy. 98, the signal is much lower and call tend to drop. Inside home signal is nearly absent, and I can't even check my voice mails without the calls being dropped frequently. It's a decent service for "emergency use" on the road, though there are dead areas. My contract has been expired for awhile, and I won't upgrade my phone because I don't want to be trapped in a long contract with such lousy service. I've reported this problem to Verizon at least twice and been told that it would be checked out, but I have never seen any improvement. When I contacted Verizon customer service to tell them why they were about to lose my business, they said they were sorry and offered to cancel my service. That was less than helpful, and showed they don't care about customer satisfaction.

Can't make a call without walking around the house like a moron. Can never recieve a call inside the house nor outside. Reception improves a mile or so away from house. Who knows how much business I've lost because of phone not ringing on my end. I need a tower in my yard!
