Hwy. 17 / Hwy. 27- Southern Dunes, Haines City, FL 33844 |

I drive 27 every day to work. It's not too bad on the highway but once you veer off, you're touch and go. dDiving 17-92N towards Kissimmee- there's no signal. There's also very low (2-3 bars usually) inside my house. I frequently drop calls, especially if I wander towards the laundry room at the back of my house. My coworkers often complain that inside our building there's no service either (CR 561). According to my bill there are two towers that I typically get service from. There's one in LAKELAND and one in KISSIMMEE. Orlando and Leesburg are the other towers occasionally listed on bill. I find this quite absurd for the amount of customers. I never had this problem in Indiana. Get it together! "Most Reliable"... what a joke! Although, I find the phone is a huge problem. It doesn't keep a charge and typically has to be plugged in to work. The battery drains quickly due to the low signals and since they don't have analog phones anymore, the phones all search for the digital towers which are fewer and farther between.

When I got the service (5-6 yrs ago) there was no service at my home. About 2 yrs later it shot up to 3-4 bars (of 4 bars). At this point I discontinued the land line because of constant outages. About a year ago it dropped back to 1-2 bars MOST of the time. Occasionally, it's 3 or 4. There are 2 towers within 3-4 miles of my house (I can see one), when I drive by either one it's 2-3 bars(which is OK). I assume Cingular isn't on either. Other than the poor service at my house I've had minimal problems, however, I'm looking for another service.

Nextel is awful in a 50 mile radius of Haines City. Most calls will not go through. The ones that do got through are dropped or rendered unintelligable. The service was passable prior to the hurricanes coming through. After they went through it has never gotten back up to the point of being useful. Nextel must have lost a bunch of towers around Haines City. My wife and I pay for our personal phones. our employers give us Nextel for free. We dont even bother putting them in the car anymore. JUNK

Poor to no reception, dropped calls, error messages are all to familiar with Nextel and the Hianes City area. I have had a Nextel phone for five years, and since moving to Haines City I have had some of the worst service ever. I call and complain tomy account manager, customer support and even the field techs that monitor this area and still we have terrible service. I even had the regional VP in my office one day and he expalined it to me that Nextel was simply over-marketed in this area for the number of towers they had positoned. And that they were looking at several new towers to add but that would several years to complete. That was 30 months ago and still no new towers or an answer for the poor service we recieve.
