The other reviewer is right about service being better under AT&T than Cingular. The past 6 months service is noticably worse, especially in Gainesville where there are the most towers. However, I usually get ok service with some dropped calls depending on where I am. I also believe that your phone has a lot to do with it. I asked for the phone with the best range when I got this plan way back in the U.S.Cellular days. The disadvantage to not getting a Cingular plan is that I don't have a National plan and it is old technology--digital, but they can't beat the price I pay. I'm going month to month now because I don't know who would be the best choice. Also many others in the family have Cingular so the M to M is a real minute saver.
