I have been with Verizon for the last 10 years 7 a total of 14 with 4 years spent with Alltel, before Verizon bought them out. I have to say the service on my smart phone has been great. I use a Android and have had few problems with service. I have 4 lines on the "Family Plan", 2 in Jacksonville and 2 in Omaha. We have simply had no problems with 4G or 3G in Nebraska's rural areas. I would recommend Verizon to anyone. I was considering changing to Sprint due to the current promo but, after reading the feedback it isn't worth the saving!

T-Mobile

When I purchased the phone from T-Mobile, they said that I was in an area that had second to the highest coverage. I was told that twice again on the phone. I never could make a call and people had a hard time calling me, we would get dropped. Internet service is good with WiFi. Samsung Galaxy light phone with 4Gs. T-Mobile made two service calls to the area. After the second one, the man in the technical department said that they didn't have ANY towers close to me. A service for a tower would take one month to a year. Told me to search for other services. What are we supposed to do without good reception? Isn't Jacksonville big enough to have great coverage everywhere we go on any coverage we choose? Get with it J'Ville. It is 2014. This is hard to believe. I've tried other service providers: Straight Talk, and Net One and Net One was the best so far. Don't know what I'm going to do. Why am I paying for a phone???????

Reception is not good with Sprint in a lot if places. You would think it would be good in Jax because it's a major city. I was house hunting so I went all over the city and 80% of the time I had issues. Had up use my hubby's phone for the map... he had AT and T.

While Sprint isn't horrifically bad, it's pretty terrible. Slow speeds, poor reception, dropped calls, etc. Not to mention, on a family plan we're still paying $65 / person. What good is unlimited data if you can't even use a reliable connection? Go with Verizon or AT&T if you're in Jacksonville. Sprint sucks.

Everywhere in Jacksonville I go, I get about two bars. When I do find a full service area, I am usually driving so it is useless. I get one maybe two bars in my house. Jacksonville has the worst 4G lte I have seen. In California, my 4G LTE would get about 20 Mbps down. Here I get 3.5 Mbps. Utter garbage. It isn't even AT&T. Other carriers that I come in contact with have similar reception and speed problems.
